Good morning, feeling bleurgh today only because depressed about this debt and seem to be in a never ending cycle of not enough money coming in :( Trying to be as strict with the budget as possible but it does appear we have at the moment a £300 shortfall  So somehow need to get on top of this. When we get inheritance and pay of the loan this will halve this so hoping before Xmas :)

Good and bad things this weekend
    • Car loan out today so a box crossed of and £140 of the total :)
    • Bought groceries yesterday, £109 that went on the card :( but OH has had a bit of a health scare so have bought more for him to take lunches but should save money as he wont be buying food everyday, watch this space.
    • Annual mortgage statement through, bah to £4k interest  but equally £4k taken of the capital, interest rate is 2.89% so not bad. That will be my next target after clearning the debt, could be a while yet :rotfl:Must update signature.
    • OH spent on his credit card on saturday to get some wood for new bedside cabinets as too small space so having to custom make, so another £100 spent :(
    • My credit card currently stands at £2240
    • Have £35 cashback validated with a further £15 waiting to be validated from recent bingo, should get payout in November :D
    • Got around £15 cashback from recent purchases on another site :)
    • Managed to list 6 more items yesterday including some £10 ish ones, one has 5 watchers already so heres hoping :)
    • Sold 2 items on ebay, only 99p but all helps :)

Morning, another quiet day at work :)

Boots arrived yesterday one pair is fab, not sure about the other 2 yet, of course the most expensive pair is the good one which isnt great but so pleased to have found boots that fit :D So to save me more time as always struggle to find boots have ordered 2 more pairs one in same colour the other in different colour so another £200 spent . Will probably send one of the pairs back but still way over budget, actually who am I kidding there is no budget :rotfl: but least got myself some decent boots for a few years now :D

Small spend day today need to get some stir fry sauce as forgot on sunday, no good having a stir fry with no sauce :o

    Morning BB

Do you 'really' need a stir fry sauce? Anything in the cupboards you could use to make one?

    I like these suggestions - http://www.fortysomething.ca/2012/05/15_basic_stir_fry_sauce_recipes.php
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

Morning, thanks for the links will look at later. Mum was popping to shops so she got me some sauce, result as she didnt want paying ;)

Stupid hoss came in with injury last night, something spooked the horses and her field mate jumped the electric fence, my horse doesnt know how to jump yet so got herself tangled in it! Luckily fence wasnt on as could have been worse. Nothing major just stupid cut but on her joint so after night in stable it was swollen and she was stiff this morning :( So called vet and he was due friday to do her teeth and vaccinations but coming today instead, oh joy more money  Got to work at 9 only to tell boss I am leaving at 10.30! Ha nevermind :rotfl:

    Round up of figures:-

This consists of May figures to todays figures

    NWG CC - £84.98 - Now £2,643.07
    NWP CC - £2,955.62 - Now £2810, drop of £144 :)
    NW Loan - £8,844.60 - Now £7076 drop of £1,768 :j
    Parents - £8,650.00 - Now £8650 - currently on hold
    VW Finance - £6,466.26 - Now £5760 - drop of £706 :D
    Sofa - £1,235.95 - Now £1085 - drop of £150 :)
    Bcard - £0 - now £1489 :( (increased by £500 this month )

Total now £29,516.78 . A total increase of over £2.8K this month

So I know we have had new bed and bits and I have spent a fortune on winter boots so not all wasted but still currently now owe more than we did back in May :o

So no time to dwell on this keep moving forward and see where we are for now.

Increase of £202 to go to NWG credit card as of yesterday for the vet. Luckily her cut was ok just a surface cut but got some antibiotics just in case, she is good and eating them fine in her dinner :) She had her vaccinations and teeth rasped all without sedation so thats fab :D Hopefully wont see the vet again till next year.

Pay day yesterday and enough bunce in current a/c to pay for things and should be ok for OH's wages to pay for joint a/c bills. So now extra money in to reduce the debt. £2.09 from quidco should land tomorrow. More money shown in other cashback sites so hopefully land by end of the month. Survey sites are gradually rising. Ebay sales are going ok with a few bids.

Have taken up Natwest new savings offer with interest of 2.85% and set up standing order for £50 to save a month. Not sure what going to use this for yet as already got savings accounts for insurance, fun, horse, emergency, which apart from insurance have about £50 in them :rotfl: Maybe use this new one for emergency savings as putting money away each month, may close one of the others as low paying interest.

An emergency fund isn't a bad idea at all. I'd love to have one! When you get a fair bit put aside there you can use any excess against the debts.

Glad hoss is okay and taking her anti-biotic, do you know how fortunate you are? I have to disguise them in digestive biscuit and molasses sandwiches...

Keep going BB, you'll get there.

Piq thanks for your comment, have amended my standing orders, never know what I may be able to save! Not that I can afford to save but feel I need something.

Glad hoss is eating her happy pills too :) After Baldrick when he was ill with liver failure first time and wouldnt eat and had to get 6 egg whites, 1 sachet antibiotic powder and 50 mini steroid pills a day down him was not fun, had to syringe it all and hide the pills in carrots and apples as thats all he would take, ended up with most if it down me everyday! Hmm what we do for our animals ;)

It's so difficult giving medicine to an animal that won't take it! The Captain can detect a grain of medicine from 20 yards. He will not touch anything that has it in, even if it means going hungry!

  • Glad hoss is OK :) I'm another lucky one in that my two are both greedy enough to ignore any medicine in their buckets, but the very fussy TB we have staying with us at the moment has to have hers disguised with a BIG glug of apple juice (she'll do almost anything for it!)
