Saving for a new Horse!

Morning
Mixed MSE weekend. Friday night went food shopping £233  but apart from few fresh bits should last us well into Xmas, freezer is rammed. Then Saturday went to get bedding for horse £119  but this is approx 3 months worth, have stored lots in mums garage. A big spend but we could get 18 bales in the van and with a 20 min drive there and back each time will save us in fuel in the long run. Both of these spends went on the credit card
Sunday was better a NSD, had a lovely roast beef dinner havent had for ages, expense from friday night but was worth getting, usually get cheap cuts so made a change to get something a bit more expensive. Listed 6 items on ebay, 1 has a bid on already and sold 1 item and re-listed the rest£7 withdrawn from paypal from last weeks ebay so have sent to card. There is another £3 in there from this weeks selling, should get some survey site money landing shortly.
NSD today as lunch bought in. OH was a bit spendy last week for his food but has organised himself last night so should save a few pounds this week.:)Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

- Council Tax
- Electricty
- Gas
- Water
- TV/Phone/Broadband
- TV Licence
- CC1, 2 and 3 Mins
- Sofas
- Bank fees and interest
- My fuel
- Both mobile bills
- Hairdresser
- Horse rent
- Car finance
- Vet bill
- Building, contents and life insurance
- car tax and insurance and MOT x 2
- Car servicing x 1 (1 included in finance plan)
- Loan payment
- Misc spending, OH and I pocket money so to speak
- £50 to emergency fund (currently at £100 )
- OH fuel
- Food (including my lunches as comes from gorcery budget)

- Horse food (can afford some but not enough it seems)
- Big items (clothes, works to house)
At the moment any extras we make ebay, surveys etc all go to overpayments on the card, if we didnt need this for food etc then this would reduce. At the moment not really getting anywhere just at a stand still.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Morning if being a bit OCD with checking every penny, checking the bank every day and panickign to make sure I have enough money to pay each bill then yes I am organised and on top of things :rotfl:
With regards to the horse same there tidy stable, clean(ish ) pony, feeds and hay organised.
Looks around house, hmm not so organised and tidy, clean but visitors usually have to work their way round the obstacle course, one day will get it organised, come back in about 20 years :rotfl:
Moneywise very boring, £6 from paypal landed from survey and ebay site so that has been transferred to card. Having a few NSD's as got lunch bought in, OH being good and taking lunches but otherwise very booring, get up do hoss go to work, do hoss, come home dinner, look at untidy house and decide pffft and curl up on sofa with catch up tv or good book :rotfl: Have loads of tv recorded, so much on at the moment which is great but never have enough time to watch it all. Really enjoying Masterchef but dam it makes me hungry, doing no good for my diet :cool:Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

TFI Friday, had a carp night last night and feel rubbish today, sometimes it really sucks being female
Moneywise mortgage out today
Min payment of £51 to credit card
£1.37 from quidco and small (very small) joint a/c payment of 3p to credit card
Need to get a few things in shop today for friends coming round for dinner tomorrow, just a few bits of fresh veg and a sandwich for my lunch. Have all the rest in already, going to make a cake and have custard and ice cream to go with this for dessert. Have bought the rest of lunch in so only a wee spend.
Shouldnt need to spend anything over the weekendMust get some more bits listed on ebay, 2 are currently selling so far and couple of others have watchers on.
Had a free meeting with an IFA yesterday and awaiting his report next week to see what his advise is re our current situation and what to do with the inheritance money and pensions and savings. I am still biased to paying of the loan but watch this space.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Morning
Good weekend, friends over on saturday night very successful and cheap, spent £11 on friday so thats not too bad. Got lots of food leftover cake and 1 meal so will have that tonight. Cake will be consuming over the week
Sold another few items on ebay, 1 awaiting to be posted the others havent paid yet so should be another £10 or so in the pot. Didnt list anymore as had a lazy day yesterday, watched 6 hours of catch up tvbut more space now on my V box, up to double figures free but got lots recorded over the week so soon goes up, will clear it all one day :rotfl:
Spent £600 on saturday  but have ordered an open fire for our front room. Will save loads on heating etc and can get most of the logs and paper bricks for free just need to spend a wee bit on coal so will save us some money in the long run. Used our "house" savings to pay for this so not adding to the debt.
Got the financial advisors report and some of it makes sense, some is just plaun daft, like using some of my existing savings to pay of some of the debt, but some of the savings are needed to pay for things like car insurance so makes no sense at all  Some of his advice was good and going to use some of house savings for debts and then the inheritance to pay of the 2 cards with high interest and then the rest to overpay some of the loan. Then any extras I make from ebay etc can go towards the last outstanding credit card at 0%. This should hopefully save us around £100 a month so will help balance the budgets better. Also going to keep all my savings accounts but look at changing some to higher interest if we can, put some in OH's name.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

£20 landed from survey site so that has been sent to my card, need to sort out spreadsheets and then can see how much to withdraw from weekends ebay sales.
Had a sit down with OH and he is on the same track is trying to be good and will budget better to not put fuel on his card. And I will try and find the money for food somewhere. But have agreed on the plans forward for savings and what we will do with inheritance and any Xmas money.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

You must be very disciplined doing the survey sites, I find them mind-blowingly tedious
Which ones do you do?
