    Woohoo it works :D

Playing about with photobucket and images, not sure how you re-size but will get there one day!

Really missing my pony today so thought I would put a picture of him up , its about 2 years old but just love it.

Moneywise, sold another ebay item for 99p, not paid yet though so no trek to the post office, still awaiting payment on an ebay item sold on sunday, grrr really annoys me that people bid and then not pay, probably have to open a dispute and get fees back if not paid and then re-list. Saw free listing this weekend so will put on some more larger priced items in the hope they sell.

Hairdresser today but counting as a NSD as already have money saved from previous.

  • Hello,

Came across your diary due to work-based procrastination! So sorry to hear about your boy, he looks like a star. I have two orange mares, neither of whom are rideable (one is lame, the other is retired (29yo)). I would love another, but can't afford to keep three!

Lots of luck in saving for a new best friend x

Millie thanks for dropping by :) Yep Baldrick was a star, but also very cheeky and stubborn, only did what he wanted to do and nothing more but it was part of him. The others we used to ride with used to get all excited and prance around, baldrick couldnt be bothered, he would be up for a good gallop with head in the air, even with a martingale didnt have much control  but then he would calm down instantly and walk or whatever straight away, he never wanted to expend too much energy, all that eating would have gone to waste otherwise! He managed to perfect eating whilst out riding and could strip leaves of branches without breaking branch whilst walking, as he knew if he stopped to eat he would get told off so the whole point of riding to exercise him to get his weight down didnt work very well, he consumed so many calories out :rotfl:

Hope your two orange ones are ok :)

In money news ebay is doing very well, with only a few items without bids on, free listing this weekend so will be spending tomorrow uploading more items!

Interest has just been applied on two of my credit cards, £36 and £43 respectively  Another reason to get these paid of asap!

    Hello diaryland :)

Late one for me today, stupidly early start to go to our Southampton office this morning, not used to these early mornings, yawning all the way down, will be asleep by 9 or earlier at this rate, I'm such a lightweight :o

Ebay did well yesterday, most people have paid so just organising wrapping and posting. Need to check on profit but looks ok. Managed to list another 6 items yesterday and re-listed what didnt sell. Gradually getting there!

OH is now away for week so saving me lots of pennies in the food department as company covers most of his meals whilst he is away
    :D

[FONT=&quot]Went for walk on Saturday went to Runnymede and saw Magna Carta monument and OH said lets go and look at the American war memorial at the top of the hill. OMG I couldn’t walk yesterday!! Where the hill was really steep the tops of my legs were really aching, just moving in bed hurt! Feel better today which is good. OH said lets go for walk every or every other weekend, ok that’s fine but choosing flat routes :rotfl:Really do need to get fitter!

Payday, should be :D but more , first pay with 20% paycut so £250 approx lost of take home salary, not impressed. Keep looking around for other work, but there isnt much out there at the moment, still at least I have a job and it pays my bills (just!!) so need to go full steam ahead with getting the extra money from ebay, surveys and the like and getting the budget down to a nth degree.

Packaged up loads of ebay parcels so envisage a long lunch hour queing at the post office!

Lots to get on with at work so suppose must get on ;)

    Hello

Just found this diary, I had an Orange "turbo-charged" monster who sadly I had to have put down at the grand old age of 27 having had him for 14 years. That was 7 years ago now and I miss him as much today as I did the day he went. Oddly today I brought a picture of him to work today, freshly clipped and in his usual raring to get out there and get going mood at the age of 15 just before we went competing cross country. Good thing he could not talk as he knew far too many of my secrets!

I spent a lot of time after he passed on riding other people's horses - usually free or for cost of shoes - good way of getting the riding / caring but without the 7 day a week commitment. It is a nice way to get back in the saddle and also make sure a horse is right for you at this point in your life - without the long term commitment. Have you considered a former race / steeple chaser? I used to do a lot of recovery work with various ones who injured themselves and they are lovely to handle both on the ground or in the saddle, plus usually these are free. They are easy rides as usually been well schooled and go the whole gallop / walk as a matter of course.

Best of luck with the job hunting and the debt busting.

Thank you for dropping my missrlr, your turbo monster sounds fab, 27 such a great age :D Definitely agree that is good that they cant talk as totally agree about the secrets, Baldrick knew everything about me :o

Thanks for the comments about the steeplechaser, is a possibility but not sure if my OH could ride one, as a novice so thinking of something like a Welsh Section D. I have a few ponies that I can ride and play with too, but seem to be concentrating full time on debt busting at the moment dont seem to have much time

Sold some boots on buy it now on ebay yesterday and payment slowly trickling in with other items, so spending evening wrapping but least its getting there! Think I have about £100 in paypal to withdraw so will check that properly later.

OH is really into camera stuff and one of his lenses has broken  He wants a new one £500  So told him if he wants it then he has to find a way to pay for it as we have no extra money. So he has decided to sell his fold up bike which he hasnt used for donkeys, that should nett £200 and he is going to pay rest out of his personal spending money each month. He also thinks he may sell some of his fishing gear as he really doesnt need it all (he hasnt been fishing since being with me so 4 years and I cant see it happening anytime soon), so hoping to make over £500 to help with more debtbusting.

Just realised this month and next budget wise are free council tax months so will have £336 extra to put at the debt :T

Have about £60 in expenses this month to claim too so all looking good :)

LAM thanks for your kind comments, really like orange ones! Used to call mine the ginger ninja :rotfl:

Ebay is still going well, 2 more items selling this week, only 99p so far but all helps and it is slowly getting the stuff out of the house, still a loooooong way to go though!

A new target as well as paying the cards of and saving for a new horse is to up the savings that we do have for emergencies and for the new extension. I dont think we have enough for the extension and also we dont have any real for emergencies  We save a small portion each month and that covers car, life, house insurance, car tax and thats it, so really need to try and find a way to up this somehow. Hmmm. The minimum payments on the 3 cards equal to about £220 so once this are paid of will have this to save, so long term can save, just struggling to do in short term, need to have a think on that one. Just feel like we wont be able to achieve any emergency savings as budget is bare at the moment, may put a SOA up to see if anyone has any ideas
