Going to call about the prospective job shortly, not a formal interview it seems more like chat over coffee to see if all goes ok. I have nothing to lose so going for it
Back to work today, hard after a long break, not been here since 20th!! Lots to do, going to send e-mail shortly to confirm details of paycut too, oh joy  I miss my pony lots (as will do everyday), the only good thing was nice not getting up at 6.30 to do him before work, didnt have to get up till 7.45
km1977 thanks for dropping in, that is shocking about the arson attack, people are just scum
Good DFW day today, have brought lunch in from home so will be NSD, have done daily clicks and completed a few surveys.
Good news I have planning permission for my new kitchen extension :T Just going through the building regulations now and then can start thinking about getting it built. Cant wait to have a kitchen to actually use properly! My current kitchen has oven, sink and few units in its weeny! Fridge and Freezer in dining room, washing machine in outhouse and dishwasher currrently being stored in outhouse. Will give me a big open plan kitchen/dining room, lots of extra storage and a downstairs bathroom too.:)Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Good morning world! Not feeling too alert this morning, bloomin wind keeping me awake half the night!
At work late, oops, but luckily was first one in so no one noticed
Just had a row with B**G** re them deciding to change the direct debit from £25 to £70 and the only notification you get is teeny writing at the bottom of your statement  Have got it rectified and put back, may need to increase as have been told what my forecast bill should be, £70 a month to pay for gas, I think not! So thats my next target to come way under that, no more heating for ages! Its warm enough in house, not cold, so going to see what I can do.
Off at 3.30 for my informal chat/coffee with prospective new employer so have dug out my decent clothes, so look smart but not too OTT. Keeping things crossed. Just need to decide what to drink as dont like tea and coffee so hot chocolate may be on the cards! Must be careful and not spill anything:cool:
Was having a think on the way to work this morning about the new horse! I would really love one NOW! (I am impatient and feel a bit of a loose end without one), but I have made a pact with myself.
I am going to use every last penny to pay of the 3 CC's, totalling just over £9,500 before I consider getting one. Its going to be a hard struggle but it will make sense financially for me and give me a bit of leeway.
£250 a month is what a horse costs, what my paycut is and what my minimum payments on my cards are, so if I pay these off I wont be short of any money, even with the paycut and will have the new horse :j

Morning Diary, YAY its Friday! I like these short working weeks.
Busy weekend is that the house is a tip (as always) but really need to do some washing and put the stray fence panel back (blasted wind!)
I also need to go down and collect all of Baldricks stuff from the yard, so am sure will have a cry. I have some left over hay and bedding so am going to sell on at half price to yard, so make a bit of money but other owners get it cheaper so it all helps.
Two very unexpected things last night.
First was a vet bill £485 (eek) for the 2 days he did baldrick over the holidays not so nice but expected, but came with it a card that said “Dear ***, With our sympathy on the loss of Baldrick, You did all you could to make his last year or so as good as it could be, I am sure he will be greatly missed, Kind regards ***”. Totally unexpected from the vet but was so touched they made the effort.
Second was while I was out babysitting at my sisters, one of the girls from the yard who moved there just after I did, dropped of a card and some flowers.
So had a cry over both things as they both didn’t had to but nice they thought of me
Today is definitely not a No spend day!
£99 for the cavity wall insulation we had installed just before Christmas
£95 for years car tax
These are both out of my general savings (phew)
£160 cheque for building control (coming out of house extension fund)
£485 cheque for the vet (not covered!) but parents have said they will help out with this. I have £200 left in general savings to cover half and hope parents will cover other half. Unfortunately the general savings is for things like house, car and life insurance, all due in June this year so need to find more money from somewhere to replace this money otherwise wont have enough to cover them, as like to pay for year outright.
I have re-done my budget and with my paycut  and the money I would be spending on the horse I have suprisingly £143 surplus in my budget so am very happy so going to put an extra £100 into savings to replace what has been used for vet (this should pay my insurance and give me a wee bit of back up) and use the £43 for overpayments on the cards.
Thats the theory anyway, so hope it worksDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Its the weekend
Am awake early, 8ish, but that was probably due to me being stupidly tired yesterday and fast asleep just after 9.30! On a Friday night, yep my life is so rock and roll! To many years ingrained of getting up and doing horses at 7am or 8 on weekends so early nights all the time! And yes I still want to do it again:o
My parents have very kindly offered to pay the whole of my vet bill, I am so blessed with great parents, I did offer to put it on the loan figure and just pay a few extra months but they said no dont worry :A
It means I have £215 in my general savings so with my saving plan should be able to have enough to pay out for the 3 insurances due shortly (life, house, car) and any surplus budget can go straight to the cards.
Off out to the yard shortly to go and sort Baldricks stuff, probably have a little cry whilst doing so but it needs to be done and will be able to catch up with people whilst I am there.
Was thinking before I went to bed yesterday that this year should really be to organise my life year! It seems a mess wherever I turn. Relationships with OH and family are good, I am determined to improve with friends, dont see enough of most of them and have let a few slide by which need to be sorted.
My house is a tip, it will never be 100% until I get my kitchen extension sorted, but there is sooooooo much I can do, just little things like sort through wardrobes so half not lying on the floor will make a huge difference! My OH must have drawers full of ties, I reckon over 100 most really good, he doesnt wear many these days so probably only needs 20 max so that would be great and sure can ebay most of them, even if its only for a few pence each would help.
Other thing is work, I am constantly overloaded and always have far to much to do, so sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed and dont know where to start and so begins a viscous cycle. I am determined to try and get on top of this, the office is a mess too and its up to me to clear it, I only work in a small office, me and 2 managers and marketing lady who is working at home at the moment so isnt to bad, the problem is when our sites finish they come and dump everything in the office and start with new fresh stuff so a constant battle, but one I hope to overcome somehow. Again little things like getting rid of a few old files, even if its just 2 everyday will make a small but good difference and help keep my mindset positive.
Woah that was very deep and meaningful for a saturday morning!
Well then to start my new positive must get off laptop, out of bed and get dressed then :rotfl:Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Hi Baldybear - hope you are feeling ok tonight - must have been a tough day. I remember when I lost my young horse last year and had to clear out the stable and other liveries kept stopping by to offer help and condolences. Not easy.
I am shattered tonight and the part where you said you enjoyed getting up early made me smile. Tomorrow I am having a lie in - reset the alarm to 7am - whoo hoo lol. My problem is my little mare is a stress head and as soon as someone is on the yard she starts box walking and stressing so I always aim to get their first. It helps me save on bedding as I can keep it clean too as I quickly skip out whilst she is eating
I got my vet bill today for the old boy who got kicked just before xmas - gosh they know how to charge - £7.14 for 2 vetwrap - I have loads of the things. I think next time I am going to bring my first aid box out and ask them to use what is in there first lol
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.0 -
LAM thanks so much for your comments, oh dear re the vetwrap, definitely try and take the pee sometimes it seems! Baldrick also used to get stroppy if I wasnt there at his expected time and box walked to if I was quite late! He was very impatient too, I would go down in morning chuck his feed in, change his rug and start mucking out round him while he finished his feed to save me some time, but if Baldrick finished his breakfast and I hadnt got up to put his headcollar on to put him out within milliseconds he would walk round the stable and barge into me as if to say "come on, hurry up, havent you seen I'm finished, time to go out now, helllooo":rotfl: Miss his little quirks.
I know I shouldnt but i was browsing the classifieds last night for a new horse, saw a few that would have been great, but must be goodI NEED to pay these debts first, and looking at prices need to save around £2.5k so thats my target.:)
A good day yesterday, sorted out pony stuff, put it all up in loft and some in parents garage, need to get some down and give wash but will have to wait until a bit better weather. Put Xmas stuff and load of other rubbish up in loft too, filled the car with rubbish for a tip run today, so pleased with myself.
Today when I finally get out of bed is tip run, baking as got loads of ingredients and saves money on chocolate and biscuits and ebay, ebay and ebay! Boring but thinking of the money :money:Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!
