Hi :hello: Granny here, thought I'd pop in and say hellosneaks in
Spent £15 in Waitrose2 cans evap milk, 1 today, 1 tomorrow, 1 bread roll, 3 for 2 on bubble bath, 2 mags (with freebie moisturisers) and 2 packs of emergency chocolate.
sneaks out
The emergency chocolate is for my stash at work as dont seem to have any left and get worried if there isnt anyMy last 2 bars of chocolate went to my MD. He was starving, as always, and asked if I had anything, said I did, they were like twix's but sainsburys own brand. He said they taste great, just like a twix, so said good cos I cant afford real twixs, the look on his face was priceless :rotfl:
Have a small confession in that bought 2 pairs of shoes yesterday online, total £38 as they were in the sale. Got cashback tracked from quidco. But will probably end up sending them back as got stupid size feet and can never get anything to fit properly. Must be the only female who hates shopping for shoes
I hate shopping for shoes too. I hate anything feet related and once was the manager of a shoe shop, oh how I hated those days:jRuns in all excited :j
Just had notification that employer is putting salary back up to 100% as if 1 July, currently on 25% paycut. So next month super poor as normal but as of end July will be £300ish a month better off :j
OH also working tomorrow so a few more pennies, so excited as this means will really be able to hammer debt down a lot quicker
:j:T:j:T:j:T That's great news

Morning, TFI Friday
Thanks granny for dropping by, ha ha re the chocolate, forgot about that, still going to get the supermarkets own, cant let the boss think I can afford too much now, back to my salary that I should have been earning 3 years ago, now time for a payrise, heres wishful thinking :rotfl:
Short day today as vet this afternoon. Definitely putting on credit card but with payrise will easily be able to pay back in next few months. Also will be able to clear my overdraft once and for all and will be under budget so lots of overypayments can be made :j
OH shares dropped into bank account, transferred to joint account, not touching enough in there to pay OH shares of bills for 2 and half months. His redundancy money should be here soon too and do same for transfer, doing this just in case he cant find full time employment for a while to cover us and not use any of our savings. Small overpayments can come out of joint account probably only equal to £50 a month but this will all helpOH is working today and due to be paid today for last weeks work, this will be transferred to his outstanding credit card where we used this earlier to pay for extra horse feed and fuel so be back on an even keel again

What great news about the pay rise, I'm so pleased for you :j
I've only made small overpayments recently, any extra money I've earned is there in an account for a large overpayment should I get a proper job. Otherwise it's for living on.

Good morning, what a nice weekend
Not very DFW, OH spent money on food for BQQ (cough and a new BBQ cough) but it has been well used for the last 3 days, including family over, but OH has used his redundancy money and money earned from last week.
He is working again today so a few more pennies. Need to site down tonight with OH to work out what redundancy money to transfer to joing account, definitely be another few months of bills worth so thats good.
My first loan repayment came out today so another £147 of the debtLots sold on ebay over the weekend so need to organise myself and package up and post today as was in our Southampton office all day and didnt get a chance to breathe!! Working out expenses so should be another £130 to come in.
£98 spent on card over the weekend for the vet so hopefully ebay sales will cover some of this.
Loads of work on so must get on :cool:Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Morning, nothing exciting happening today, work, work and more work.
Thought OH wasnt working so did hoss this morning so I didnt have to rush, got to work and OH now got call asking him to work, result, hoss done and OH earning
£11 spent yesterday on steroid creams for heat rash and squash for work/home. Updated spreadsheets last night but forgot to add up so can withdraw paypal money, will do tonight. Need to update signature as well as CC2 has gone up with vet bill, CC3 also small amount, but CC2 min payment of £30 out today and loan repayment also will lower total so getting there.
Think need target somehow. I am going on holiday in August so that will be a good target. Aiming for both CC's to be cleared, CC2 is £180.45 and CC3 is £212.19 so a total of £392.64. Thinking about it would be great to clear these cards completely with OH's redundancy money, will do that tonight.
So new aims!!! To have saved up £350 in savings account for holiday spends. Also to see if I can start overpaying my personal loan. Will investigate that today. If I can aim to have at least 2 months overpayments so thats £290 to be paid off. So a total of £640 to be saved/earnt etc in just under 3 monthsDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

well done you, sounds like you are really focusedThink need target somehow. I am going on holiday in August so that will be a good target. I think targets are the way forward. Having a clear goal in mind is certainly helping me stay focused and if I make mistakes they are so much smaller than ones I've made in the past, because of this focus. So new aims!!! Is your loan, your highest interest debt at the moment because if not you may be better off trying to pay extra off that first. Interest is usually front loaded onto unsecured loans and although you get a reduction if you pay it off early, it usually ends up costing less than a credit card. Can't remember if you said CC1 was on a 0% interest at the moment though, so if it is, please ignore me

Morning, not at work today stupid hayfever
Moneywise - OH paid of his credit card last night, paid of mine today so just the one outstanding. Another big portion of money in joint account too to cover bills for next few months.
The remaining credit card if 0% for another 12 months so plenty of time to pay that off. My NW loan is 6.9% interest so concentrating on paying this off first. Spoke to them yesterday and unless I repay early no interest saved but can pay sums of to reduce the term so I am going to go for this, save up months repayment and repay early this way.
