For some reason I keep thinking it's Tuesday today?!

Thanks for the tips re ulcers - will be looking at vits & Zinc supplements. I'm also going to eat more healthier as I've loads of weight to lose. For me this probably means eating more as I've got into the habit of having nothing between my porridge & my evening meal, usually grabbed before going back out for some work meeting or other!

I've made soup from LO veg & will take it in a flask so I have no excuse! When the ulcers have finally gone I'll be eating a lot more fruit.

All the decs are down & in the loft & we've had a lovely dinner of cold pork with scrumptious bubble & squeak!

Managed to get some washing out on the line today - know what you mean about the lovely fresh smell Jackie O

Congratulations to the MIL with the MBE!! :T

Have a good evening & hugs to those in need.

    TTFN

Kazza - half way through my dog walk I panicked and thought i was supposed to be at work!

I have made my lunch for tomorrow, bulgar wheat salad. Just waiting for the water to heat and I will go for a bath and get in my jammies :)

Painted my nails, so need to get some work clothes ready and dry and straighten my hair after my bath. Plan having an early night

    Good afternoon everyone :hello:

lippy - many congratulations to your MIL; it sounds like it's very much deserved.

Well, DH and I popped to Leicester to endeavour to get him a new suit... he tried one on (sale, M&S!), but the trousers were too short so we came back home checked online (via Topcashback!) and bought the whole suit. He starts in his brand new job tomorrow and feels that he needs to boost his suit collection from 2 to 3! :D

On our return we had a lovely cup of tea and a slice of my mum's Christmas cake which she always makes. Delicious and just what we needed!

It's back to school for me tomorrow and then the children return on Wednesday. I need to make sure that I still have all my school bits prepared; they were fine before Christmas and I did some work, just need to make sure I have everything!!!

Have a good day everyone.

    afternoon everyone

What a lovely bright day here, walked dog this morning with dh. ds2 stayed home with my parents (they go back home tomorrow). this afternoon went to stratford to look at the sales, bit disappointed not much in m&s. I did buy a jacket but at full price, but used a voucher so only cost me £19.50.
Still not managed to get ds2 sllep sorted, he was still awake at midnight when I went to bed and was awake at 5am. Just waiting for an appointment to see specialist. been waiting since oct now. no date yet.

os today bit of cleaning kitchen not much else, back to work tomorrow. will have to iron uniform for ds2 and my work clothes.

sunflower re hanging out washing I read a tip on here to only peg out washing if the flagstones are dry in winter, it usually works though.
Molly - hope you feel brighter soon.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Just waved goodbye to DS2 and DGS on the ferry. Future DIL was unwell and couldn't come sadly. She is a girl after my own heart and according to DS2 she made all the decorations this Christmas, HM all the Christmas food and DS2 rescued last years Christmas tree which languished behind the shed, completely needleless and he sprayed it silver and that stood outside the front door decorated with fir cones that he had sprayed gold. They are my sort of people!:T

Had text message from DS1 to tell me that he had moved back in with his wife. Tried to be glad for them, but this is the wife who, 6 months ago, pushed him out of the house and moved in her 19 year-old toy boy, giving DS1 a near nervous breakdown. When do they stop breaking your heart? Don't answer that!:(:(:(

Lippy: so pleased for your mil. She sounds as though she richly deserves the recognition.

Hester: I know all about the shoes. When my boys were young and I seemed to be running a youth hostel, I used to count up the trainers at the foot of the stairs to see how many I was feeding that day. 13 shoes left me wondering.

Took my visitors out to lunch so tea will be something on toast. Now I have 2 days to blitz my house and make it ready for my DB and Dsil to come and stay. Dsil a lovely person but a born cleanie. Give me 2 months and I might just make it.

    Love to all.

JulieG: There's still the trampoline option.:D

QQ Ladies - when do you peg out? I've always peggeed out my washing in summer and stick everything on the radiators or clothes horse in winter but the relatively sunny days have been tempting me to peg out, despite the cold. What's your rule of thumb for drying outdoors? Do you peg oout as long as it isn't raining or damp, only above a certain temperature, only in summer etc?

    .

I hang out nearly everyday, unless its actually raining or misty etc out it goes, if nothing else it makes it smell nice, but quite often it dries if off a bit. I hung three loads out today, and its just about dry, a night on the airer and it will be dry by morning xx

Don't even try, say you have had visitors and would she like to help? If she is a natural cleanie, she would rather be cleaning than sat around :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::A

Beth - we will be driving over to our house in Spain leaving here on Sunday, calling in on DS & GF for Sunday lunch, before staying the night at the Travellodge at Ashford, and crosssing via the tunnel the next day. Current weather there certainly beats here.

So I have until the end of Saturday to clear away Xmas, get the paperwork here sorted, decide what we need to take for 60 days, get the washing and ironing up to date, luckily I have DH to help me.;)

Several here keep saying they don't feel OS enough to post at times, but there are several layers and ways of being OS, one is not to be wasteful, so any form of Money Saving counts, making "real meals" as opposed to buying ready made ones, home baking, making HM presents for birthday and Xmas, searching for YS at the end of the supermarket day, using Stardrops and white vinegar, instead of of a multitude of cleaning products, hanging the washing on the line when the weather is suitable, helping your neighbours, friends, people in need, keeping hens, growing veg., making hm drinks, they are all as valid as each other, and some of us do some, others do others, some may do many, others just the odd one. We don't judge, none of us are perfect, least of all me, all are welcome, please join in.

Right back to the crocheting. Take care DG
