overheard an SA tell a customer that she was entitled to a £5 No7 voucher SO immediately split my shop into 3 lots (3 items) and paid separately for each AND used vouchers to get additional points as well and got 3 No 7 vouchers. DD looked ashamed lol. Then went and bought mascara and handed over my voucher then I asked the slightly taken aback SA if I was entitled to the free eyeshadow when you get a mascara. DDs face by this time was a picture :rotfl: She shouldn't moan - I let her have the receipt DS saved (and had validated) when he and his mate did some 3-4-2 shopping before xmas. Was very impressed with DS TBH, especially as he and his mate shared their 3-4-2 to each save money!

Washing dried outside and 2nd maidenful now airing. Mysteriously more washing has appeared...

Going to try and do dot to dot on the kitchen work surfaces, its a very small kitchen =) Someone mentioned it being easier to work if DH is working too, well him indoors is glued to the xbox and gets grumpy if I have to walk in front of him too often clearing stuff up.

I need to dig out my Flylady book, she would be calling me a martyr! Bad attitude, bad bad naughty Adela!

Just spent an hour in the land of lost dresses - keep, throw out or cs - had to try things on  and I now have 1 bin bag ready for cs - have to decant into smaller bags as my car is out of action - so I'll get exercise as well as decluttering. Have a built in wardrobe with a long shelf and clothes were in plastic storage boxes - so I didn't know what was in them as you can only really see the top layer - went on a couple of them decluttering/organising sites and they suggest dividers for the shelf - then had an AH HA moment and up-ended the storage boxes - now I can shelve more clothes without them falling over but more importantly I can see what's in them.
I'm only able to try and keep up with flylady because I'm retired - children have flown the nest and there's only me and OH at home - up until now I have never experienced the joy of a tidy home - and I'm loving it - although I never regret the time spent with the children when they were young - except that it wasn't long enough.

Valli did you get some fcuk bags? They're lovely, I picked up a few for birthday gifts

If I have time tomorrow I'd also like to take the dogs to the beach - thinking out loud

    Kitchen list for tomorrow

Fold all laundry & send to appropriate rooms
Empty under sink cupboard - dump anything I won't need in next month in box for shed, bin what I'll never need or give away
One @ a time empty cupboards, clear junk & rearrange
Clear under the cupboards that the pups removed the kick boards from
    Clean appliance filters
One day I might be more organised...........

I keep meaning to say you seem so much happier for a bit of support MrsChaos

Thanks, hex. I am, really, although things are still very much up and down with DS1, I worry a bit about DH's health and work is not a good place to be. It's made a big difference that my efforts are more appreciated. Doing some baking and cooking a meal has also made him realised that it's not always easy. ;) Like you I've realised that it's no good being negative. This year WILL be better!!!

Forgot to add to my list that I went into town, did a bit of shopping on the market, took DS1's phone to be repaired (on my account, so they wouldn't let him do it) and DS2's school trousers back to M&S. They were a different style to his usual ones and I could have fitted two DS2s into them. Not a bad day, overall.

ETA Forgot to mention that I finished the first book on my new kindle - Iris and Ruby by Rosie Thomas. I chose it randomly from the recent sale (99p) and absolutely loved it. Will hunt for more from same author in 2nd hand book shops, though, as they're almost £5 each for the kindle.

My DD's would have been cheering me on - both are huge fans of working the system!
