Walked mr dyson round - which made the mess in the top hall look worse so I have sorted that and S&S'd the bathroom. Chucked away the dregs of lots of things :o but it looks so much better for it.

Bedding in the TD, must go back and make the bed before bedtime.

Don't underestimate the power of baby steps and half hour slots. I find that if i make myself do one thing I do usually keep going.

It also helps that DH is doing something mystical with the kitchen to be pipework so I am not the only one working.

Undersink cupboard sorted and I've managed to empty another cupboard into it so I've got another slim cupboard to use. I want to try and work my way round the whole kitchen so it's more workable. All dishes are done including all the pans and baking trays.

Not done a lot around the house today but have cleaned the lights in the living room, fixed the car door catch and done some paperwork. We spent most of the morning doing the horses and assessing the damage from the huge beech tree that came down into the other field the other day!

Finally the LR is back to normal after Christmas with all sofas hoovered as well. Only tasks left for me for today are to mop the floors and do some ironing, oh and load the maiden once the floor has dried.

I'm going to try to reclaim Sundays. This means I only intend to do my dailies in terms of 'cleaning' I'm happy to do tasks I enjoy like hand sewing or gardening.

Just having a cuppa and checking the bank balances and then I'm going on wii fit - that'll be a laugh, I expect it was crash in surprise.

Woke up at 12.45 PM!!!! think I was catching up after a week of not much sleep + F/T work. Decided on a PJ day - but not without a little fluttering. Second load in WM. Taken down DS's birthday cards. For brunch I slung some part baked baguettes in the oven and ate using up the last of the 'cracking cheese Grommit'. Nom Nom. Not exactly SW but delishusss.

Bagged up some rubbish, and sorted some recycling so I can actually see the draining board - which is a good first step towards pot washing ...no DW here.

Adela Black Dog living here too. ((((hugs)))

Have a good weekend ladies xxx

i am struggling around the edge of a cold - and have been for most of the week, but despite feeling grotty I was dragged into town by the DD's - DD1 had to collect some free prints from Jessops and wanted moral support ( thanks to MSE she has been able to get a lot of last years Project 365 photos printed for minimal outlay - because she picked up the Jessops ones in store thery were completely free - not even any postage to pay!)

Since coming back I have made some buttrenut squash soup and done some of the ironing ( I haven't felt well enough to do any all week!) which was much improved by finding an online link to a live Q+A session with Alan Rickman! So my afternoon was much improved..... cos Mr Rickman is IMHO absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!

    Hope everyone doing OK

    Hi all,

I have Thurs and Fri to catch up on as very little was done over the last 2 days. Put my first load in the WM this morning & now it won't empty so DH will need to look in the coin trap to see what garbage the kids have left in their pockets. I do usually check, but I obviously missed something!:o

I'm feeling a bit under the weather & have spent the whole day sleeping, then taking DD to riding lesson (standing in the cold for an hour), back home, shower and then too her to a sleepover. Got back from there and DS has a poorly tummy so I have that to deal with now too  More washing :(

I have modified the list as I cannot face some of the Level 3 jobs

Thursday - Master Bedroom, Landing & Stairs

    Level One
Strip, wash & replace bedding - will leave this til WM fixed.
    Clear landing - done
    Level Two
Hoover bedroom, landing & stairs - done by DH
Dust any dusty areas also done by DH
Hoover mattress - will leave for another day
    Extras
    HH Paperwork

Friday - Living Room and Hall

    Level One
    Clear floors - done
Hoover floors - done by DH
    Level Two
Clear mantelpiece and clean - Done by DH
Take down decs if you haven't already done so. - Done
    Extras
HH me time - will have plenty of that
HHI - Sunday night is ironing night so all will be done then (once WM is fixed)

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend. I haven't had a chance to read back the thread yet.

    Hello ladies,

Sorry I missed your birthday Greenbee. I hope you had a lovely day.

Valli well done to your son - what an entrance!

I've done very little today. I've cleared out my undies drawer and I have been ruthless.... Fling. Downstairs all hoovered, kitchen s/s.

It's lovely to have a lazy day at home with the kids and DH.

Hello all, today i've managed to get most of the washing done. Kids haven't brought up any school uniform yet so i'll need to give them another shout. Also made 2 cakes and a cottage pie....

MrsChaos, i hope your OH is ok (((big hugs)))
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
