will you ever want to read them again? If so then yes.

I worked in a 2nd hand bookshop in my drop out years. I have a few thousand books. In most rooms. I do not re-home them, but equally I don't buy a book unless I will want to read it regularly. Greenbee likes to mess with my head by kindly sending me things I want to read once in an attempt at training me to let go. It doesn't work
You're supposed to sell them or charity shop them or pass them on to people at work, not use them to insulate the house! I'll have to try sending you stuff you won't like...

Need to work out how to get my running watch to talk to the heart rate monitor, as I'm pretty sure I have a heartbeat...

It also helps that DH is doing something mystical with the kitchen to be pipework so I am not the only one working.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm much happier to do jobs if I know that DH is doing something useful, too.
I'm going to try to reclaim Sundays. This means I only intend to do my dailies in terms of 'cleaning' I'm happy to do tasks I enjoy like hand sewing or gardening. QUOTE]

Great idea! My problem is that Saturday is needed both for cleaning and running errands, but I'll have to think about how to organise things better. I really need a 3-day weekend - a day each for flying, school stuff and me/family time.
improved..... cos Mr Rickman is IMHO absolutely GORGEOUS!

    Seconded! :D

Thanks, vanilla. DH rarely talks about how he is/how he's feeling, both physically and emotional. His illness in the summer has affected his confidence and resilience. We saw the consultant a few months back and he was more than happy with DH's progress, saying it will take time to get back to normal. I've seen a massive difference in the last two 3 weeks. He's started baking and cooking and generally being more supportive, but he's also convinced that he won't live to be very old - but then, he's always thought that. His dad died over 20 years ago and he can only have been a few years older than DH is now.

Tea made and eaten, as DH had to be at a committee meeting just after 6pm. I still need to S&S the kitchen and find a tin for the cake he made. Then a bath and some more things from the list before I'm out at quarter to eleven. :j

  • Thanks again for a brilliant thread. I've never enjoyed doing housework as much as I have this week, and although I've not had time to keep up with the thread, I've been in and reading/doing/reporting what I've been up to.
I haven't seen my house looking this good in years, and it's just about a pleasure to be in it again.
I can't wait to do it all again next week - it's so good having it all done during the week so I don't have to do my mammoth cleaning sessions on Sunday mornings any more.
    Thankyou. :D

Have you looked at Bookmooch ? I've used it, you do have to pay to send books away but you can also get the books you want.

Sorry just looked & my last post here inc Greenbee's birthday message seems to have got eaten by the forum bedbug! My apologies & hope you had a nice day. I said so much else too, how annoying

I did have to teehee@ the thought of greenbee sending hex books she wouldn't like lol

CBA itis kicked in, caused by a little BD but back on track I hope, most of my plan has started financially etc & I'm eating better, not 100% yet but on my way.

Going to try to do more tomorrow, juliejim has inspired me with the usable kitchen, must get mine sorted!
One day I might be more organised...........

Hopefully they'll manage to get rid of them then:p

Heart rate monitor is now working, supper has been eaten, so I just need to have a quick tidy in the kitchen, set off the DW and then I can head off for an early night!
