    Oops no longer morning.

DD had a sleepover friend last night and I was still telling them to shut up and go to sleep at 1am so slept late again. All washing rounded up this morning and a couple of beds changed. Have loads of washing to do now :( . Need to go and get some shopping, just a few bits n pieces as skint and really want to try and use everything up from the freezers, dog food is a must though! Really need to box up the rest of the xmas decs that got as far as the landing. Also need to check the freezers and update contents. DH might be up for helping with this too as he's the one who eats mostly out of there as thats the leftovers :rotfl:

Well this isnt getting anything done so big hugs for those in need as I spotted a few. Maybe back laters
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Been to watch DS and his team run around a football pitch while 11 blokes in a different-coloured kit played football :rotfl: but (not like me) I stayed in the car (car park overlooks football pitch) and wrote thank you cards to children at school - 38 of them!
ETA - that's the first of Hex's (linked) 5 thing to do list! Go me!

Anyway just having a :coffee: then I am going to prep the vegetables for lunch then I'll se when the Vallikids feel like eating...

Vanilla - I do sympathise with your struggles with Rhys. My DS1 has a terrible temper and always has done. At 8 he can describe how he feels and sometimes we can help him to calm down, but it is too easy for me to react negatively especially when I am under pressure. I am trying really hard to respond calmly, and I actually managed to diffuse a nasty one last week by hugging him at the right time so I think it does pay off a little. I hate it most when he does it at school.
I'm so worry about playgroup, he starts in september. I don't think he's too bad at the childcare at the minute but he hates it. I told him this morning that he goes back to it tomorrow and he didn't take it well. I try to defuse his meltdown before they happen but it doesn't take much for him to go off on one. He went to bed last night, he then got out of bed and went into our bedroom. I have a candle sitting on the bedside unit (it's never used) he pulled bits of and put it on the lamp bulb (the lamp had been on for awhile) the whole thing started smoking, he paniced and come and got me. There just such badness in him, he asks for a drink and i give him one. If it's not what he wants he just throws it on the floor.
vanilla - you have all been through a lot over the last year - could Rhys just be reacting to everything? Could your health visitor help at all?
I suppose it could be, i thought it was just because of the holidays and his brothers and sister being home. Then i thought he wasn't getting enough sleep because he won't nap if the rest are at home. The health visitor is useless round here and will tell me to take him to the GP..

I think this week i'll just have to get him back into a routine and get him outside more. We're taking them all to the park today and i plan on walking his wee legs off and maybe he'll sleep better tonight. ;)

Right i'm not long home so i'll grab a cuppa and make a start on dinner then i'll sort the school uniform out..:D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Christmas tree needles hoovered up and furniture out back. Bins out. Parcel found on back doorstep. Walked to shop, bought paper, read it over coffee, walked home, filled up kindling box. So next I need to bring in logs then have a sort out in the kitchen, refine my meal plan and do some cooking!

Living/Play room tidied, dusted and hoovered whilst the boys did their rooms. Trying to make sure those three rooms are clean for the end of the weekend, easier when they are done regularly. S&S'd the not-kitchen. WM on yet again.

I need to make myself sort out my Snug. This is an adults only room which has the wood burner and no TV - so is mostly used by me and the cats/dogs.

I have been to collect Ds2 Skylanders (had to order them as they are now very scarce around here).

Have sorted and dusted the shelves of doom. I usually wait until they are really bad but this time they only took about 1hr. Kitty's vet stuff located, it had fallen behind shelves of doom. I need to book her boosters in this month.

Off to do a bit in my bedroom. Back later TTFN

Managed to sleep through the alarm clock this morning. Might have been something to do with not being able to get to sleep in the first place  I didn't want to take a sleeping tablet again so it was gone 3 before I fall asleep.
DD2 was late to drumming club :o DD1 dropped to the boyfriend as they were going to his nephew's 3rd birthday party :)
Then I went to DD2's dad's for coffee while she was at drumming as the car's still travelling on fumes :(
DD2 has now been sent off to Grandma's. It one of their cousin's 3rd birthday on the 12th so they're all there having a birthday tea, DD1 will go there later.
I was meant to go to but don't feel like it, still feeling very down.

I've unload and reloaded WM, just going to see if anything's dry on the airer so I can reload it.
DW has been unloaded, will reload in a bit. Just done HH in my bedroom, needs more but want coffee and some biscuits so I'll go back in a bit :p I'm feeling a bit out of sorts so might not do much more anyway :(

Just been reading a preview of a book I'm putting on my birthday wishlist and found this quote for you lot:

Remember that life everywhere is an oscillating dance of chaos and order, and that you and your things are a part of that dance.

Off to bake a cake whilst I ponder your tasks for next week.
