Hi everyone,
Okay so this isnt big news but for me it's an acheivement, this week Ive actually done and put all the washing away (I hadn't done everything in weeks), I've cleaned up straight away after every meal and tidied everywhere as I go. My bed has been made as soon as I get up and I've done my work stuff ready for the morning. the biggest thing though that has made a difference is that I've planned our meals ahead (I'm a single mum to 2 kids and I work 12hr shifts) By doing this everything has been prepared in time, the girls have had a full cooked from scratch meal each day and I've managed to save money!
So I'm trying to adapt slowly to the flylady routine and tackle each room at a time but i just feel good that I've made some baby steps!! So like I said not big news, but I had to share!!
Best wishes everyone.SPC#18360 -

I third that! Well done skye husky - I would do big writing but havent quite the hang of things on here yet.
Dinner just done and trying to get DD to empty dishwasher now so I can reload it. Have another load of washing to fold and another load to transfer to the dryer then will need to reload WM as well. I certainly see a difference when DS is home in the amount I have to do.
I then need to iron my work clothes so that I am not doing it in the morning again and I will get to bed before 11 !Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
End of the first week of starting learning to fly and I think I did great - got loads more done than I ever thought I would - I didn't even try to complete levels I just focussed on the bits I could do and I did do something every day and I actually did actually enjoy doing it. Haven't managed to keep up with the thread everyday but again did my best to.
thanks everyone :T:T:T0 -
Well after a good then rocky start I've managed a reasonable amount of flying, havent done too much today as been looking at cars to replace the write off. But got home and did loads of ironing, some still to do but CBA to do any more tonight, OH gets up early in the morning so will probably get up too and start it then.
Well done to all us NEWBIEs, we've achieved our first week of flying, and a THANK YOU too all the experienced flyers for their encouragement and words of wisdom.

Evening all
I'll post properly in a bit, but could do with some advice. I saw an offer for half a pig (cut up, freezer ready) on the farmers' market today. Got to decide in the next couple of weeks if I want one. The advert said £85 for about 30kg of meat, but she also has slightly smaller ones for £70. They're from a rare breeds place in Yorkshire.
Does anyone thinks it's good value? Thanks for your input.0 -
Evening all, we all went for our walk and then home to get the kids scrubbed. All checked for nits and now eating their supper. I've decided to get a stair gate tomorrow for the boys bedroom, then hopefully Rhys wouldn't be running about so much. My sister reminded me today that i used to have one when the boys were little, i don't know how i forgot about it.
Anyway i'm gonna grab a cuppa and then sort out the mountain of clothes that need put away. OH can keep the fire lit so i can get the uniforms dry...
Well done to all the newbies :T:T:T:T:TSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
MrsChaos my bargain bulk buy butchers charges £2.51 a kilo for a side of pork, but that is for random pig. £2.66/kg for decent breed pork sounds like a bargain to me.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
