I take this as you do drive in the middle lane some times when you could pull over into the left hand lane. If challanged about it and when your not in rush your slow down even more if some one lets you know its happening.
Plus you have been sticking up for the practise as well through the thread.
I do not see the words 'middle lane' in the post you quoted. I don't care what you 'take it to mean'.
I have been 'sticking up for' (what a childish expression) people not allowing other drivers to bully them on the road.
You lose sucka.Don't grow up. Its a trap!

So tell me then. When you have been flashed what lane have you been driving in and why did you think you got flashed?
As for sticking up for people. in reality on the road your not doing that as i have stated earlier. So I guess I loose as well.0 -
Why would I want to enter into a further conversation with someone who jumps to conclusions and makes things up? It would be pointless and frustrating. I would end up regretting it. So you carry on without me.Don't grow up. Its a trap!

I had an impatient person right up my jacksie in the fast lane of the A1 the other week, I was overtaking on a two-lane stretch and it wasn't safe for me to pull over, however when it was I indicated to pull into the left hand lane so he could overtake me and he proceeded to pull into the inside lane and undertake me. Only my quick reaction and thinking stopped me having a crash.LBM April 2011

So you cleary have not got a reason that you want to admit to.
Just answer why you have been flashed. If you tell me why I will be not able to jump to any conclusions.
At the moment I have jumped to a conclusion and unless you tell me otherwise I will and others on here will still think at times your sit and hog the middle lane.0 -
Its not just non-compulsory, it is impossible to get motorway driving experience (by this I mean actually being the driver and not as a passenger) without first having passed your text.I think the main problem is that motorway driving is not compulsory in order to get a drivers licence.Or me! I saw someone driving along the M40 with fog lights on in normal driving conditions past 2 police cars and neither of them even bothered about it.
I hate the stupid people who put their dipped beams at max even though they're only in the car alone with no luggage or heavy items to need them that high.
I have problems with light sensitivity and it blinds me!
Reminds me of something my mum said last month when I picked her, my sister, aunt and cousin up at the airport at night. Mum said I didnt have my lights on. I said i did. She said but the "blue light" isnt on on the dash.......my reply was something along the lines of "no wonder i get blinded by other drivers headlights when theres numpties like you on the road".
Not being harsh, my mum is honestly a numpty when it comes to driving. She is convinced that a 2 lane roundabout near us is actually a 3 lane because its nearly wide enough for 3 cars.....completely ignorant of the fact that there is 2 lanes approaching the roundabout and that the roundabout is used by a lot of HGV's (and so a good reason for the roundabout to be a bit wider) and that if tried to treat it like a 3 lane roundabout, your car would be getting a nice scrape down each side from the cars next to you (it really isnt wide enough for 3 cars).
As for flashing, only time I have ever been flashed (and not the naked kind) was when I was overtaking. Loony comes up behind me doing approx 90-100. Blasting his horn too. I couldn't care less, I was doing the speed limit and I was not going to speed up just because he wanted to get somewhere 10 seconds earlier. Ofc, when I had finished overtaking, I pulled back into the left hand lane.
3 lane motorways aren't really the "norm" here. You only get them near Edinburgh or Glasgow and on the outskirts....the 3rd lane only exists for the sole purpose of separating (and hence middle lane is supposed to be used - depending on your destination of course). You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Much as I am on the side of those despairing of middle lane huggers, I do hate what you've just mentioned ... when you're actively overtaking, with a view to pulling in when appropriate, at a reasonable speed differential, and some ****hole comes up and flashes you because he's going faster than you and there are no spare lines. Those guys should be ticketed and / or banned for a month, it's downright bullying with no excuses.0

West Yorkshire have just announced they have now sent 11,000 tickets from the average speed cameras on the M62, they have also warned that many motorist are following an urban myth that you can drive faster than 50mph and be allowed a "tolerance" they say there is no tolerance and if you exceed the maximum speed limit of 50mph you will receive a ticket, 50 mph is a maximum speed.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
