jedi (Laura) it was me that thought I may have thrush. Haven't been back to the dr to find out as hopefully have my 6 week check this week so will ask then. I've been taking acidophilus (3000 cultures) after someone on the facebook group recommended I take it due to the antibiotics I was on for the mastitis. Jonathan is still not showing any signs of thrush, but I do still have cracked and itchy nipples and stabbing pains. I think some of it is due to the latching problems I've had though. I fed Jonathan today from both sides using my new theraline nursing pillow, which is really good. He fed twice from my left side (the one that had the mastitis and was the sore one but his preferred side) and once from the right side and he fed for around 30 minutes total. I definitely think his latch has improved as it didn't hurt on the right side until he got lazy half-way through and pulled off slightly and the left side only hurt initially.
I've not fed him again this afternoon from me as we've had guests around and then I had to make the dinner, so I expressed again as we also had no bottles left in the fridge for the night feeds. Will express again in a minute. Have you had any other symptoms Laura? I believe you can buy treatments for ductile thrush over the counter at the pharmacy, so you could ask there if you didn't want to go to the dr. Obviously it won't be free like it would if you've a prescription though.

Turtle, thanks for the Vertbaudet code
I found quite a few nice things, but they were all reduced already and not eligible for further discounts, and I just stocked up on 9-12 sleepsuits and vests in Mothercare (typical!), but in the end I got a pair of jeans and a knitted top for £10 in total, which I thought was pretty good!
PS: You could always do a repeat order on behalf of your OH and/or Reuben himself if you needed more vests and socks...0 -
For anyone who wants the Cosatto 3sixti, £120 at Amazon atm and an extra £10 off if you sign up to Amazon family

I wish I'd seen that vertbaudet code sooner... They had some lovely bedding but none left in cot bed size. I'm going to deliberate over the lime green one with Brown spots. I'm sure squeaky would like it but I'm not sure if its too boyish!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Morning all - and happy six month birthday to George!
I'm the only one awake here, LO and OH are both still sleeping - don't think that's ever happened before. Pretty good night here, LO has been sleeping since 7pm with feeds at midnight and 4.30. Hope everyone else had a good night too - boo to waking up at 5 Sunshine!
Delain, I know what you mean about the bedding, I had to force myself to stay away from it as we don't need it yet. Soooo nice!
Have a good day all x0 -
Thanks nutella! Can't believe he's half a year old!
Rubbish night though, lost count of how many times we were up - was convinced I'd get up this morning and we'd have a tooth. But nope, no visible reason for his restlessness. Got a docs appointment this morning, mainly just a bit of reassurance after the weekend, and he's still got a bit of diarrhoea. Guess that must be what was keeping him awake tbh, not as exciting as a tooth!
Cold here too sunshine, going to have to get wrapped up when we go out.Newborn thread member

Thanks sunshine.
We've just a standard sleeping bag, if you find one with sleeves would you post a link? Been thinking about maybe putting him in a long sleeved vest then sleep suit then sleeping bag when it gets really cold.Newborn thread member
