Thanks Sunshine.
Consultant's Secretary has just called, he wants to see Poppy after his clinic today at 4.30pm so at least she is getting checked before the weekend. Secretary told me he isn't overly concerned but may need to look at the doses on her medication and do some adjusting. Feeling a lot better knowing we will be seeing him, he's a really good Doctor and has given Poppy excellent care since the day she was born.

I'm hoping to move over to this thread soon. Am 40 weeks and one day today, so hopefully not too long.
Quick question for you - have any of you used a Belly Bandit or Post Pregnancy girdle to get your figure back after birth? Are they worth buying? Am watching a few on eBay at the minute and struggling to know which size to buy. Is it the size you are or the size you want to be?
Sorry I'm not much help but I like you was watching them on eBay before I gave birth but in hindsight I'm glad I didn't have time to buy one. I had emergency c section and I wouldntve wanted my scar squishing with one of these anyway.. My scars no longer sore now at 9wk but my abdomen is still swollen a bit .. From what I've read you have to use them from birth to get best results.. In which case they've been useless for me lol!0 -
Thanks Jen. Its awkward because I do want to buy one and wear it immediately, but don't want to waste money by not using it. They say they are fine to use over a scar but like you I can't imagine wanting to use one with a scar! Some of the best ones its seems are £70 or more.0

Kateichoc - sounds horrible, hope you feel better soon.
Nutella - thank you so much for taking the time to reply. You have made me feel so much better. I did try giving him some water the other day but he took a tiny sip, spat it straight out and then refused any more! We are using a dummy (something I swore I wouldn’t do, but there are lot of things I said whilst pregnant that have now gone out of the window!) so I will definitely try what you suggest.
Last night was much better for us. Theo fed at 10, slept 11 until 2.30, another feed and then slept 3.30 until 6.15. I can cope with that amount of sleep and getting up at 6.15! We have started giving him Infacol before each feed as I think he has trouble with getting his wind up which is upsetting him. We shall see if it makes any difference over the next few days as I believe it takes 3-4 days to have an effect.
Silly moo - thank you for your advice. It sounds like you had a really tough time. It’s interesting that you were told you can’t overfeed a bottle fed baby as that’s the opposite of what I was told. Although I think it was part of the ploy to try and get us to continue with breastfeeding. Honestly, if I could have I would have done but it just wasn’t working for us. I hate how people make you feel so guilty for using formula.
Moneypuddle - hope things get moving for you soon! It probably sounds mad but I almost wish I could have my birth experience all over again as it happened so quickly (and four days early) that I didn’t have time to process what was happening in my mind. It was so not like I thought it would be.0 -
Does anyone here go to Baby Sensory classes? If so, can I ask how much it costs? I am trying to get a place on a taster session but apparently places are like gold dust.
Also, I've just had an e-mail from Babies R Us. Pampers New Baby Jumbo boxes are BOGOF instore until 12th October. Sounds like a good deal to me.0 -
Hope Poppy is ok Jannine. It's good you have a doctor you can trust at least. Let us know how you get on.
How is aiden's cough today sunshine?
George is doing much better with the weaning now, he had a good few spoons of baby rice yesterday and today I tried him with some mushed up banana mixed in which went down quite well. Messy! He's currently bouncing like a maniac in his jumperoo - we're going out for tea tonight so trying to tire him out a bit so he'll nap before we go and not cause a scene in the restaurant!
I'm much better today, just exhausted. I've not really done anything today and the days almost over and I'm ready for bed!Newborn thread member

I do baby sensory with my LO. I think it was £65 for 10 classes (with 2 holiday weeks built in/tagged on). They are good, but it is really dependent on the person taking the class. We had a change recently and not that impressed with the new person...Mortgage at largest: £250,000 _pale_ (March 2006)

This is exactly what's going on with Freddie right now. He's three months - bang on schedule - and eating like a horse!
I think it might be calming down a bit now because he's been sleeping a lot today. Something else I read about growth spurts suggest they chomp, chomp, chomp for a few days then sleep a lot."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Jannine - hope poppy is ok. Xx
Yuk what horrible weather again!!
I think I really need to invest in a weaning book, Noah will only eat veg so he tends to eat the same thing most days. I really want to get him eating finger foods too but haven't got a clue what he can eat!! Help!!
What does everyone feed their babies?!!!!
