I have made hundreds of different purees for Aaron and he will not eat them. Many an hour spent slaving away, I switched to Baby Led Weaning and he eats everything in sight now, tastes better off my plate and it's so much easier just giving him whatever we're eating. I tend to eat a lot better because of it too.

I give him the occasional jar/Ellas if I'm not eating something baby friendly. So just because you make the effort doesn't mean your baby will eat it :(

Freddie is gorgeous Fluff, he could be a potential boyfriend for my little Poppy in the future!!

Sammie, I'll be sure to send them your way after their done with me, we should start a new club 'the Mummies who feed their babies baby food club!' :rotfl:

I love seeing picture of babies, but I'm not broody at all!

How much does Freddie weigh now Fluff, he looks a very good size and very healthy!

He's 16 lb now, jannine (12 weeks old). I was looking at your little Poppy and thinking they looked a similar size! Although she's clearly older - you can see in her eyes how much more engaged she is. F still looks gormless most of the time. Don't be fooled by that picture - it's not very representative :D

That is a good weight!! My Poppy was 13lb exact a week ago and she is 10 months old! Her eyes always give her age away! Bless him, he's still so young at 12 weeks, he's allowed to look gormless, my hubby still looks gormless lots of the time and he's 29 years old!! :rotfl:

I know what you mean! Freddie was sat on the OH's lap earlier today. They were both staring at the telly with identical expressions - vacant eyes, gobs slightly open and dribbling :D

Bless him Gilly, he is really coming on now! He looks so cheeky, I can't wait for Poppy to start getting more mobile! (I'm sure I'll regret saying that when I'm run ragged!)

I know that expression well! I call it the 'Tyrone Stare' when my hubby does it, after Tyrone from Corrie who always looks like he's catching flies with his mouth open!! :rotfl:

  • Hiya-first post on here. On the bf convo-completely agree thatwe're not really made aware for how difficult breast feeding I or can be. I havehad many issues in the 6 weeks Samuel has been with us (mainly I think because of giving him bottles as welland him getting lazy). This culminated in me having a tearful night as I wasnt able to bf babyand him refusing to bf for what felt like forever and oh and I deciding to switch to formula, buying lots of equipment extra bottles etc, now today he is absolutley fine on the boob. I put this down to me being more relaxed and 'going with it' as had (sort of) come to terms with not bfing-ie. I not failing-baby being fed and he's had 6 weeks of breast milk etc. Have decided to try it a bit more and go with it-if this sometimes means giving a bottle of milk (breast or formula) thats no big deal-as long as my babies being fed, is healhty, happy and putting on weight. Think we have to remember the important things, not be hard on ourselves and enjoy our babies. If bf isnt allowing us to do that maybe its not worth it and if its working thats great :) plus breast feeding groups and breast feeding workers are fab and have made me feel much more positive about it all. I'll get off my soapbox now but just to say good luck sexymouse-so far ive found bfing exhausting but rewarding. I hope the feeding gets better for you whatever you do x
