  • Laura... I used the bottle that came with pump.. It's got the calma teat on... Bit weird looking and it seemed to spurt milk out to start with but I think she might have been her holding milk in her mouth as she's not used to bottle. After a few seconds though you could see her getting hang of it.. She must have to suck quite hard and you can see milk coming down the insides of the teat .
I only used the one bottle with my measly half ounce.. Haven't pumped today ..
Think I overdid it on pump.. I whacked it up to max setting as nipples a bit sore.
Had a nightmare night.. She woke at 3am having been in bed since 8pm, but wouldn't go back to sleep at all.. Think she might have colic.. Unsure if the bottle yest has contributed ??
She was swinging on nipple when feeding and arching back and screaming and kicking legs up... Went on for hours.. We'd manage to settle her to sleep and as soon as we put her in basket she would wake a minute later bringing her legs up and screaming.
She's been in infacol for weeks now and gave her gripe water this morning which got a burp up but it took til 10.30 this morning before she finally slept.
Been better this aft but I'm dreading tonight's sleep :-(

    Hi all

Had a nice time at baby group, there was a new mum there who had a little boy a couple if weeks older then Noah which was nice so hopefully she continues to go as Noah seemed to like her little one.

Nutella - the Muslins are so cute!! We just have plain white ones here!

  • Hi everyone, thank you so much for the support today - I've only just read them all but so lovely:T

Today was boring to start with, lots of waiting around, then I was cross examined for two full hours. It was pretty hard going and frustrating at times, I can't really say anything else as I'm not allowed. I've got another 2 hrs of being cross examined tomorrow, then it's just observing as the other witnesses get examined.

Reuben has pretty much been on my boob for 45 mins (since we got home basically!).....makes me feel guilty he's had bottles all day...
But I'm also glad he's pleased to see me, and we are having a lovely cuddle :D

Brain is a bit frazzled, can't remember who but people were talking about the calma teat - I have that and seems to be ok here. I like that he has to work for it!

Sammie yay for a baby group friend...I really need to go to these things and meet people, I do find it hard though :o

I will weigh myself when I haven't got Reuben attached to me....

Turtlemoose - good luck for tomorrow, it must be exhausting being cross examined for 2 hours! How was it being away from Reuben in the end? I bet he's glad to see you.

  • Sammie it was horrible being away, if I'm completely honest! But I had to put my mummy hat to one side and put on my serious-work-stuff hat instead. On the plus side it was easy to express as when I did let myself think about him, I missed him so much it just poured out :rotfl:

He's not a happy bunny now though, won't get off my boob, won't go to daddy....I'm really hungry, not eaten since 12! OH is making me a cheese sandwich, at least I can eat that one handed while laying down!!

I can't wait til next week, me and my little Reu are going to have millions of cuddles, just the two of us :o

You don't need to leave!! We are all gonna stay till they are at least 16!! I think the next thread will be called something else :)

Did you decide on a pram? X

That's good to hear, was worried I was going to get turfed out on the 24th November!! :rotfl:

Yes I did get a new pram, can't believe I forgot to say, I've told everybody in real life and it slipped my mind to post on here! In the end we went for the Uppababy Cruz, it wasn't even on my list but the lady in the shop recommended it when I told her what I wanted and I really loved it! It does everything I want and its so easy to push! Its quite a new pram on the market, but she said they are selling well. Poppy seems happy as well which is the main thing!

Glad today went ok Turtle,, just think its one day done and out of the way. Good luck for tomorrow.
