It all depends on brand and make of carrier. They don't recommend facing outwards at all. I know the connecta solar weave, mei tei and the ergo are supposed to be good carriers. Baby's legs shouldn't be 'dangling' if that makes sense but sort of squatted up around you. The link below explains it a lot better than I can haha. It also gives examples near the bottom of recommended carriers and the type to avoid. I know baby bjorn are particularly bad.

Hope that helps a little, as I say I only found this out after I had bought one too so it's barely been used :(

:( we've got a baby bjorn, oh loves taking him out in it. Have only had him facing out once though. We won it on eBay though so at least we didn't waste a fortune on it.

I've got a seriously grumpy little man today, won't be put down at all. Hoping he'll sleep after this feed then wake up a bit happier.

  • Hope your walk sorts him out sunshine. I wish we could walk to OH's work, would love to be able to see him during the day but it's a 20 min drive and we're trying to be good and save on petrol. Booooo.

G is asleep now, need to find some motivation to finish the cleaning, was good earlier and got the bathroom and kitchen done but the living room and hallway are a total bomb site with all the packaging that was with the pram. And our wheelie bin is full already. Think I might just put the tv on instead, maybe if I wish hard enough it'll magically tidy itself up.

I'm doing not bad today, dishwasher loaded, washed and unloaded and washing load done and hung up to dry. I've tidied round too, baby is napping, after getting up at 9.15, he proceeded to almost fall asleep eating breakfast at 1o.45  put him in his cot and he was full of beans took almost an hour for him to fall over! He probably won't be asleep long now, lunch time soon!!

Afternoon allTurtlemoose - hugs Hun, hope you can get everything sorted soon.

Noah is in his cot, he kept falling asleep downstairs and as soon as I put him in his cot he was wide awake. I think I can still hear him winging but I think I'll leave him for ten mins and see if he drops off. I was really good again today and walked the boys to school. Going to walk up the school to pick them up too.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, we are off camping again this weekend.

Where are you camping sammie? Hope the weather stays good for you!

George has gone from grumpy to completely out of sorts and not himself at all, hope he's not coming down with anything. Managed to get him to sleep but his last nap didn't help so not expecting miracles this time.

  • Back from our walk, its boiling outside!! Monkey finally asleep so just gonna sit and watch some tv as he is very jumpy atm and will prob wake if I do my jobs....thats my excuse anyway :p

Katie, we try to be careful with fuel too esp as we have a car each. Thats why we walked down today, plus it was a lovely day. Its a really nice walk, we cut through the park and tennis/basketball courts and then through a really nice private road and then we are judt around the corner from OH work.

Enjoy camping Sammie, hope the weather stays nice for it. X

Argh my boy has been awake since 9am!!!! Not even napped when feeding!!!! I worry that's not good for him but believe me I've tried and he just doesn't want to nap.

Leaving for the docs now......dreading it. After his jabs we are then meeting a childminder, so he will be all miserable and clingy if last time is anything to go by....not the best but ah well.

Text OH earlier saying I was struggling sleeping worrying about tribunal, about childminder, about being away from Reuben, about money, about me and him. He just asked me why did the original childminder cancel...nothing about the rest *sigh*

His mum is having Reuben for 2 days and I really don't want her to. She won't listne - eg Reuben rolls. A lot. You cannot leave him on any surface as he WILL get off it. OH mum says its ok, put hm in the middle of a double bed, he won't get off there. Erm yes he will! Just out pillows either side you stupid woman, or better yet how about you don't leave my 3 month old baby unsupervised!!!!!!!!
