  • I couldn't justify buying the Quincy even though it's really cool, got a three wheeler city sidewalk baby jogger in the end, folds down really well so fits in my one metre boot.

Thinking of gettin a Quiney yezz when Niall is 6months.

  • Had a good day today, walked to my work to show niall to work colleagues and they loved him.

Managed to get an hours nap while Niall slept in the afternoon. Have noticed changes in Niall already even though he is only just 3 weeks old, can't wait to see the first smile.

Showed dh the jumberoo & he wants to get him one for Christmas! I am not keen as we don't have a lot of room, I am already trying to work out where I am going to put his rainforest play mat.

I am using Huggies size one nappies and hde quite often has leaks of wee and whole outfit needs changing, is this normal? Maybe I need to move to next size, niall weighs about 9 and a half pounds, size one say they go up to 11lbs. Going to trial reusables in a few weeks.

    Hope everyone is well.

Hi Laura, I found the huggies newborns in the cream pack did leak. However I have since ysed the huggies natural care and super dry with no leaks.

We use pampers now as we have loads we bought on offer and do prefer them but huggies size 2 & 3 arent too bad at all imo. xx

I've struggled with huggies (they leak round the legs). It's also worth going up a size too. I think you're better off in size 2, jediquigley.

Hi All, I sometimes lurk on here as I like reading your positive stories & new mummy stories as my LO is due before the end of the year. I saw the pram discussion. I'm currently trying to look for prams (which won't cost more than my house :D) and like the look of the baby jogger city mini - has anyone used this from birth? did you have to buy the bassinet thingy too? A friend has one and it looks fab but she only bought it after the first pram was unsuitable so she didn't have it from birth.

Prams and car seats are making my head hurt :D

Best wishes to you and your lovely littlies x

The Baby Jogger City Mini is suitable from birth ammonite but I'd advise buying the carrycot. They advise that baby is laid flat up to 6 months old. Another thing to consider is do you want baby to face you? If you do that wouldn't be suitable for that.

Is a fab pram for a stroller though :)

...and girls... :( I threw away some of my freebies in the end as the number of leaks just got silly. Laura, I find that once we reach the top end of the weight that a nappy's supposed to be for (which I'd say you have, if he's 9 and a half pounds and they go up to 11), it makes sense to go to the next size. This goes for any brand I'd say. Don't stockpile size 2 though - if your LO's anything like mine, he won't be in them for long! There's a decent overlap between sizes 2 and 3, so chances are he'll be in size 3 for much longer than size 2.

LMM: hello, congratulations and welcome! :) Oh, and if you have a baby that will actually sleep in a moses basket, count yourself very lucky indeed - I think most of us struggled with that!
