I'm doing one this year, the intro one, then the longer one next year (cunning plan - that's when the smaller people can start playgroup) and that's when I've got my school placement, because I need to be there at least 5 hours a week.

Afternoon ladies
. Its boiling hot here today, not September weather at all! Wish the seasons would sort themselves out a bit.
Good luck with the pram hunt janine, I've just won a mothercare spin on eBay. I got totally obsessed with them for a few days! The oysters do look good, I had one on my watch list but the spin finished sooner so I went for that (impatient, me?!). I really wanted a Quinny buzz but they're just a bit too expensive for my budget. I've just had dinner with a mum friend who has a bugaboo but wanted something more lightweight for taking on holiday and got a maclaren. She really likes it but she didn't really think at the tIme but you can't reverse the seat so when we were out this afternoon she had to keep stopping to check up on him. So I'm really glad I went for one with the flip around seat now.Newborn thread member

The quinny buzz looks like a nightmare anyway, I've seen someone almost tip the baby out getting off a bus  and I'm normally the biggest advocate of 3 wheelers.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

 maybe it's no bad thing I couldn't afford one then! I can see how people get addicted to buying new pushchairs though, there's so many! Think my oh would do his nut if I get bored of this one too soon though, he doesn't understand whats wrong with the one we've got (non reversible seat, rickety, rattles like I don't know what going over the slightest bit of uneven ground...and I just wanted a new one!)Newborn thread member

Hasn't got much in the way of storage either has it!
The only parent facing double I could find was the britax b-dual which weighs a ton, and the bugaboo donkey (not at 1k  our car cost less than that!)
Katie which one did you have up to now?Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Have to say I have never really looked at doubles but a friend of ours had a single bugaboo and with all the extra bits and pieces it cost a fortune!!Little Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

At the moment we've got an Inglesina that we got secondhand from a friend. It's fine, does the job and everything and its a whole travel system so we can fit the car seat to the top of it which the new one won't do. But it's been used for two LOs before we got it and has seen better days really. Like I tried to explain to OH, its not that we need a new one, and George probably won't even know any different but it's something I'm going to be using a lot over the next year or two so I want something I enjoy using.Newborn thread member

For doubles I like the bugaboo donkey (massive though like a tank) so completely impractical. Baby jogger city select double, and theres a new phil and teds navigator and dot that I like. Love the mountain buggy duo too. Not that im planning. :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Had a good day today, walked to my work to show niall to work colleagues and they loved him.
Managed to get an hours nap while Niall slept in the afternoon. Have noticed changes in Niall already even though he is only just 3 weeks old, can't wait to see the first smile.
Showed dh the jumberoo & he wants to get him one for Christmas! I am not keen as we don't have a lot of room, I am already trying to work out where I am going to put his rainforest play mat.
I am using Huggies size one nappies and hde quite often has leaks of wee and whole outfit needs changing, is this normal? Maybe I need to move to next size, niall weighs about 9 and a half pounds, size one say they go up to 11lbs. Going to trial reusables in a few weeks.
Hope everyone is well.
