Have given her some Calpol (their directions are wonderfully ambiguous regarding preemies btw - like they read like never ever ever ever ever give to them - I've just gone on adjusted age) and she's now back to smiley gummy grins... Hello all
Rubbish day hereAiden didnt have a long enough morning nap so from 10:00 - 12;30 he screamed and screamed. Nothing I did would calm him down. He didnt want his cot, dummy, cuddles or milk. Teething powder and calpol did nothing either. He eventually fell asleep in the car but only for 30mins and since then he has been awake. Just dropped off on OH but hasnt had his milk yet.
I dont know why he was screaming, I was nearly crying myself as I just didnt know what to do. I met my mum at lunch and started crying!! I was going on about my neighbours hearing him and reporting us, luckily my mum reassured me that all babies cry and the neighbours prob didnt hear or care.
I still feel rubbish though. Mum tried to cheer me up, she bought Aiden some new outfits in asda and some plum yoghurts. Just rememberd she bought us a choux bun too mmm.
Anyway, Gilly what a fab video. Sounds like he keeps you super busy!

I find Nurofen much better for teething, Calpol will normally soothe during the day though. Glad she's back to her smiley selfis it a bottom middle one?

is it a bottom middle one?
Nope, we're being arkward and it's a top middle one just to be different!
I was kind of limited by what Tesco had on their shelves when the transition from mildly grizzly to out and out wrath happened within 5 minutes flat!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Hi Ladies,
Hope all OK? Not been on fpr a few days, not been feeling to happy in myself and getting a bit down which isn't like me at all. The past few nights I've not been able to fall to sleep and just been in bed wide awake thinking about when Poppy was born and everything that followed, been upsetting myself. Anyway feeling a little better now. Went to town this morning and an old man called me 'disgusting' in Starbucks for breastfeeding!! Luckily my mum was with me and gave him a peace of her mind! An elderly lady had a go at him as well and told me not worry and to ignore him! I wouldn't mind but I show less skin than a lot of women in low cut summer frocks and vests, I'm very discreet!!
Going to post a pic of Poppy's Nursery tomorrow, its all done now and she's in there now for the first time! I had to put her moses basket in the cot because she isn't to keen on the cot and I think she feels safe in the basket, will hopefully build up to taking it away.
Off on our hols on Sunday - yeah!! Not started packing yet, I keep writing things on my list that I musn't forget, there is so much stuff to take when you have a baby. Plus we have her oxygen and a lot of meds!
Gilly - just watched your vid, gosh A is really coming on now, he looks fantastic!!

Well at least it's helpedHi Ladies,

Aw Jannine, it's understandable that you have days where you feel down, after everything you have both been through. You are both fighters thoughand well done your Mum, what an ignorant old man!
Can't wait to see Poppys nurseryI'm sure it looks fab.
I know he's getting to be a wee terror, he's wild! The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Think your going to have your hands full with him Gilly! I bet he's going to be a proper, boisterous little boy!! My friend has a 2 year old boy called Charlie and he's a proper boy if you know what I mean! Poppy watches him in fascination, my poor friend really has her hands full with him (but wouldn't change him for the world!)
A girl who I got friendly with at the hospital (an NICU Nurse) has just told me she's pregnant with her second, my OH asked if it makes me feel broody hearing about her being pregnant, I'm chuffed to bits for her, but it doesn't make me want another so I'm sure our decision not to have any more is the right one for us. Really going to have to work on not spoiling Poppy though seeing as she's going to be our only one! Not doing a great job so far, every time I go out I buy her something! :rotfl::heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
