Hello all, I've been awol, not been feeling great, but I'm back now
Lirin I only expect to lose a 1lb a week but in the past the first week of starting diets I usually lose between 4 and 7lbs then it settles down to 1lb a week.
Sunshine I have so many 6-9 Summer outfits that are just too big for A, it's so annoying, they're gorgeous stuff from Next, but the're little Rompers and they just hang off him, people have actually bought the right size and season he's just too small for them yet. I do try and put him in them but he looks ridiculous sometimesit sucks.
We have had 5 nights of sleeping through, so I really hope this is it this time, fingers crossed, if he does it tonight then that'l be the most nights in a row he's done it for. He is actually good at night if he wakes up, he just eats and goes straight back to sleep, but then I lay there for ages, so it's better all round if he'l sleep through. Can't believe it's taken 6 months  I'm so glad he's not an early riser, all of you with babies who like to get up at 6.30am I take my hat off to you, I don't know how you cope!
Hope everyone is ok, I've made spicy lamb sausages for dinner, first time trying lamb so lets hope he likes themxxxxx

Think I'm about 90% sorted with 6-9 month clothes (I buy at least one size ahead) but I think it's easier with girls because you can always put leggings on with a little dress to take it more into autumn if the seasons aren't quite right. Have a load of stuff from Tesco - I keep buying their T shirts when they're reduced to like £1.50 and stuff, plus Primark for vests and babygros and I've got a load of things like denim pinafores handed down - so I'll just need to go buying things like tights and leggings to go under things. Asda I normally love clothes from but they've been really bleh this summer - hoping their autumn winter stuff is nicer!
We've only just gone into 3-6 month clothes though so I probably have a while yet.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Turtle - I'm not sure how much he *should* be getting really, with G I just go off his moods; if he's grumpy or yawning/rubbing his eyes I'll feed him til he's dozy or asleep and get him down that way. Sometimes he just doesn't want to sleep no matter what I do though!
Gilly - could you exchange the clothes for the smaller size maybe? Or a credit note? We were given a ton of newborn size vests etc that we decided to return to m&s as he'd have only worn them once, so we've got a credit note for when he needs some new stuff.
I've had a super lazy day, been feeling a bit down so have watched a load of the office on Netflix and just chilled out with George.Newborn thread member

Turtlemoose - I found matalan clothes good quality too, Noah is in 3-6 months from matalan and he still has a lot of growth left in them whereas next 3-6 seem tight on him
Just sorted Noah's clothes out and found 5 baby grows in the spare drawer that will fit him for a while. I think he just needs t shirts and a couple of cardigans/jumpers which is great as I thought he would need alot more

I don't think I can Katie
I wash all his clothes when I get them to get rid of all the chemicals etc from the shop, so the tags have been taken off and they're washed. I can keep them I suppose, but can't guarantee #2 will be a boy and that he will fit into them at the correct season x

Hello all
Still alive lol !! Xx
Toniq - hello !!! Xx how u both?
Jenjade - how you getting on ?
Mozzy - thanks for the message lol !
I honestly am behind so have no clue what's been going on
Hubby been off and have had mil to stay  and other family
visitors. Feeling really tired at the mo boo!
Turtlemoose - mils eh !!! Don't worry mine tried her best last week, she bought a massive melon not sure why she used to bring apple pies..... (could be a hidden message!) told us off for calling him scotty rather than Scott as it sounds too much like a dog to which I informed her he has a 'little puppy' top... I am also to let Scott nap on the sofa with some dining chairs next to it to stop him rolling off .... I could go on :rotfl:
Scott is currently slumped in the jumperoo as we had family visit and he had finally given in to sleep....
Weaning- we are going slightly more lumper pur!e but occasionally the odd lump goes in and he makes it plain something's up by pulling a face!
Sunshine - hows weaning going?
I have found that ramekin dishes are a nice bowl for serving/ storage/ cooking some things too. Also cooking whole chicken and freezing small pieces in little bags so that if I make something in the steamer can just snap some small bits in before whizzing it up. Have also cubes butternut squash, sweet potato do that can mix meals as I please.
Scott not keen on yogurts or fromage frais yet.
Scott really does not do steamed potato and veg pur!e think its too gloopy so will try baking a potato and just mashing that sometime. Steamed potato does whizz up like wallpaper paste lol
Hope u are all well

Hey Ro!
Weaning not too bad. Was not keen on plain baby rice so now adding veg to it. Had carrott yday and bnut squash today. Seems to like it and has about 3-4 spoons.
Glad Scott is doing well! I have a freezer full of veg and fruit purree so no room for more lol. Thanks for tips re chicken etc though.
Gilly- if you want to get rid could you ebay them? Not done it myself but know people do bundles?

Agree with that. I think girls clothes look easier to style for whatever weather, especially pinafores etc as you can do tights or long sleeves. Also maybr just cos I dont have a girl but I always think girls clothes are way nicer than boys and morr choice!Little Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

I have a girl and I think boys' clothes are so much nicer - whenever I'm in a shop trying to find some decent clothes for my LO I always see lots of things I'd have happily bought if she were a boy! :rotfl:0 -
Glad you are ok Ro xx
