Another one here with a grunty baby. He's not crying, he seems quite happy so why doesn't he just go to sleep?? Instead he lies there grunting and squirming, keeping everyone else awake"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

When my MIL first visited I was upstairs with Freddie, just putting his trolleys and socks back on after changing his nappy. She rushed into the room and shoulder-barged me out of the way in her haste to get to him. I went flying into the window and Freddie started bawling in shock at suddenly being accosted by a mad French woman.
ETA: Freddie's upstairs asleep in his cot. I was just wondering whether to go check on him when he emitted a massive guff. Guess he's OK then"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

I've got this. A question for all you mums with babies older than just a few weeks.. does this go? At the moment I've consigned myself to needing a tummy tuck
I can't really exercise yet (Freddie's only 4 and a half weeks and I had a c-section). But will exercise shift this revolting overhang?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Fluff, a friend of mine was absolutely huge with twins (and delivered by caesar) and most of hers has gone now so there is hopeI think she's back into all her pre-pregnancy stuff too and it's only been about 4 months.

I'm sure I read somewhere that when they're really little and they've just been fed, they don't quite know how to get their food going through their intestines and out the other end so they just grunt and push and squirm with every single muscle vaguely in the area! Erin used to be a terrible grunter - it's died down a bit as she's got bigger.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

Hey hun, I suppose everyone is different but my baby is almost 5 months old and from about 3 months I would say I was back to pre preg weight - maybe a bit less as I lost my appetite after birth. The overhang bit is still there a bit but my main problem is the wobbly tummy! Im sure it would go if I excersised etc but I cant find the time! I do need to start doing something though.
Pretty sure I read it takes 6 wks for everything to shrink back down.xLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Morning ladies,
Normal night here - LO was her usual predictable self, waking at 2am and 6am for a feed and then sleeping until 8am. I think we need to move her bedtime forward though - it's been 8.30pm-ish for a while, but for the past few days she's fallen asleep on me at around 6pm and slept for at least two hours, then woken up for her evening bath and feed and then back to sleep. Will try putting her in her cot earlier tonight and see what happens. Wish me luckHope everyone else's nights were OK.
Just been looking at the Lamaze website - I'd never heard of them before, but really like the look of them! Katie, I might just have to get the musical inchworm, it looks fab.
I also have the c-section overhang, and hate it with a passion. I really hope it goes away, I need to do some more exercise now that I'm able to - if only I could find the time. I found this article quite useful - it describes how to 'tighten the muscles that hang over your scar', but needless to say I haven't got round to doing it: www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/youafterthebirth/exercisepostbaby/exerciseaftercaesareanexpert/
Off to the doctor in an hour for LO's jabs...
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Morning all
Turtlemoose - my mil sounds similar to yours, pain in the bum!!
Noah seems happier today so hopefully he stays that way, going to consider weaning soon as he is draining his bottles, sticking everything in his mouth etc.

Hi Sammie,
Aiden was draining his bottles, staring at our food etc. But now we have started he doesn't really seem too fussed lol! Going to carry on now as we have begun. He prob has about 2 teaspoons.
Plus I have a freezer full of purrees lol.
Just got back from popping out, realised this morning that he will prob be in 6-9 clothes in the next 3 weeks or so and we don't have too many. Got him some vests, sleepsuits and a few pairs of trousers.
Aiden is finally having his first nap of the day so I am going to eat my lunch in peace
