Nutella- I was even brave enough to do the swim lesson in my bikini! I'd bought it to give birth in, so never used, as was only told at the last moment induced can't be water births. I'm convinced a fortnight of control pants for work has flattened the stretchmarks- from above my belly to almost my knees!!! All of a sudden they look very pale.

Wow, that IS brave! Maybe I should try the control pants - I'm really upset about my stretch marks; I had none whilst pregnant and then lots of them appeared AFTER giving birth! I also bought a bikini to give birth in, and ended up with a c-section, but I hadn't taken the labels off so sent it back and got a refund! :money: There was a box where they asked your reason for returning it - I told them the truth, wonder what they made of it!...

I just wanted to say that you arent alone with this Turtlemouse, you could have been describing my situation with DH. It almost makes me sorry I chose to BF, and I would certainly have to think about it a great deal more if it was ever a decision I had to make again. My DH just doesnt seem to understand how dog tired I get, and I will admit to kicking him occasionally if I'm up BFing and he's there happily snoring away :silenced:
I'm so looking forward to the first solid night sleep I've had in 14 weeks but thats at least a month off yet and thats being optimistic. Oh well they are only little once (thats what I keep telling myself)

thank you for letting me know i'm not the only one. also the bit in bold, i'm guilty of that too, its just so frustrating sometimes :(

    Whats Game of Thrones? :o

A fantastic fantasy drama full of political intrigue and a battle for control over the Seven Kingdoms.

Hey Lirin, Dont know if you will find this interesting at all, but guess what, my DH's Kung fu master is going to Hong Kong for a month and a half to do the choreography for Ip Man 3!

Ohhh. Does he need a photographer? Secretary? (Not sparring partner, I'm not suicidal!)

Yup- in my bikini, with all mstretchmarks on full show.... I used to (hopefully) turn heads for a different reason. Can't complain about my chest, it's a nice J cup now, rather than the small G cup I had.... And with the control pants if I breathe in really hard, I can get a 30in waist back.... need to work on the real thing! Was a bit disappointed. I liked my bikini! Instead, I gave birth in a horribly oversized nasty printed nightie my mum had sent up....

neither of you accidently made him fall out of bed? DH is convinced that was all him. It is irritating and frustrating, it looks easy and natural and lovely, but it bloody well isn't!

I'm nodding away here in agreement to how bf'ing is hard work and how men can seem to sleep through anything!
My next baby I will still bf but will also give a bottle once a day just so I have that option.

Well done for using your bikini Lirin :) I too bare my strechmarks and wobbly tummy, been eating far too much recently and its getting bigger not smaller!

Overheard a lady yesterday saying how her hubby feels like he can't bond with new baby as he can't feed her a bottle and the lady was feeling guilty and like she was doing the wrong thing in bf'ing ..... it just made me think....how on earth did men ever bond with their children before bottles>?!?!?!? I wish DH could feed Jacob (no he won't even offer his nipple for comfort- tut tut. :D lol) but thankfully he's always been very supportive and it just made me feel sorry for the poor lady

Lol lirin I haven't gone as far as pushing him out of the bed, but one particularly frustrating night when i was up for the millionth time, he nicked all the duvet, as in rolled up in it, and of course I'm stuck with a baby on my boob so cant do anything about it...I sat there shivering for the rest of the feed, winded and changed baby, then unfortunately I was so tired getting back to to bed that i clumsily slipped and my elbow landed in his ribs hard enough to wake him up, oh dear.

I don't get this whole thing about bf'ing being good for bonding with your baby....if im totally honest...i resent that time. Its exhausting. It's sometimes painful. My boob have already started to sag despite wearing a bra 24hrs a day (gutted about this, they were my best asset). Even though you are sat still, its physically hard work - sometimes i am sure I feel myself getting hungrier and thirstier as the feed goes on! But I don't feel all lovey dovey during it - I'm grateful I am able to BF, especially after such a rocky start, but if it wasn't for the health benefits for him then i would give it up yesterday.

I don't know if its real or crazy new mum hormones, but it feels like people around me are anti me breastfeeding. OH attitude is, if im going to moan about it then just stop and then he can help with bottles. His mum thinks i should never have done it in the first place because she didnt like it. SS has unhealthy ideas about nudity being dirty etc so hes not keen(although i must say i dont listen much to a 7yr olds opinion ...but hes another to add to the list!). I have no family or friends here so am finding it tough to only really have support from my mum when we skype or when i moan on here. Sometimes i'd just like somebody to say it is hard work, but youre doing it for your baby, keep up the good work. :(
