Alison...glad Ewan is on the way. Just to warn you - when the batteries go it makes a right racket! Happened after the dream feed last night!! Nightmare, esp as you need a little screwdriver to change batteries over.
I too wondered about dropping the dream feed but instead I've bought it forward. I now do it at 9.30 and for some reason it seems to be helping. He's starting (touching every piece of wood possible) to sleep till 4ish then I feed again and that settles him till 7. Perfect! Worried now I've jinxed things.
Let me know if you ditch it. I'd be interested to know how it goes.
I'm definitely dropping the dream feed tonight. I just want to go to bed early, not sit up til nearly midnight! Daniel used to sleep 10pm til 4am with a little help from his dummy. I thought the dream feed would have kept him going, and I suppose it does as he doesn't get his bottle til 7am but it makes him so restless. As he is now on solids twice a day, he isn't very hungry at 10pm so i couldn't bring it forward. I have also unswaddled him tonight as maybe he gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. And he likes sucking his thumb, am hoping it will replace the dummy. Will def let you know how I get on.
Can't wait for ewan to arrive. :j I got it from eBay and it said used once - I suppose that means it didn't work for the seller. I think the white noise will help Daniel as when i don't use the dummy I have to make white noise in his ear for a few minutes to send him to sleep. Will maybe put new batteries in it first though!
Welcome all the new(ish) mummys :T This thread is really busy now!
