I guess you're right, it was quite a big one! But it was the first time I'd tried these ones and now I can't trust them! Luckily we've got a load of the kiddicare ones in the loft so I'll keep the tesco ones for use at home.
I find the Tesco Superfit very good xDFD February 2012

Reuben does not feed at any consistent time, for any consistent length of time....my mum made a bit of a comment today about me being "at his beck and call"....which I felt well, he's 5 weeks old, surely I should be? But since getting off the phone now I am doubting myself and wondering if I should somehow be making him feed at certain times...but have no idea how I would do that??? If he's not hungry, he will not open his mouth so I can't make him eat....and if he is hungry, I can't bear to leave him to cry (it's not often he gets to the crying stage anyway, I watch for hunger cues to get to him before he is going mad).....so how on earth do I change things??
Ah hunny, you're doing the right thing!!!! I only started a decent routine at 3/4 months. Up until then, he never seemed to sleep during the day, and when he cried, I fed him. You're doing everything right. Mums etc.......it was a long time ago since they had a newborn. All the rules are different when you have a newborn. Your listen to them and their needs, and feed them when they hungry etc. Plus even if you started to try a routine, it'd probably go out the door as he gets older. Just keep doing what you doing for now, when he's a few months in, then you can slowly establish a routine.

Sounds like you should send them off with an itemised invoice for x days bed and board at All inclusive rates. Cheeky Wotsits!! You arent likely to get any money from them but it would make the point!
haha, the funny thing is, she even (whilst lying on the couch with feet up while I ran around doing washing/tumble drying and cooking dinner) commented that I hadn't stopped today......eh hello!!! I know, so hows a little help!!!!DFD February 2012

Hi everyone
Sorry havent been on much today, always meet my mum for lunch on a thurs and everything seems hectic. Just come up to bed as fell asleep for an hour on sofa :ohavent done that for ages lol.
Turtlemoose-I know how you feel, my mum, sis and mil all told me what I should be doing with him when he was tiny. For example, we bought him a night light as he wouldnt settle in our dark room and I had them on my case cos 'he wont know the difference between night and day' grr lol he is fine now! Aiden just sort of set his own routine but not till about 13weeks and hes only 17wks now. Do what you want to do, you know what your baby wantsand rant on here whenever you like.
Not sure what I missed will try and remember - Gilly, nap reduction sounds like its working for you, well done!! Ro, sorry you hurt yourself rearranging your house!! Hope sleepsuits are nice!
Mozzy-grr at the family!! Enjoy those chocs!!! Know what you mean re money, we are v tight until I go back and then its nursery fees taking it all. When I win the lottery, you see I say 'when' as it WILL happen lol, Ill make sure I share with the newborn-1 group
Hi everyone else!!!
