When you hear about other peoples babies sleeping well, it's easy to think that you're doing something wrong. You've all given me lots of ideas to try over the next few days. I'm going to try a few of them before going down the route of going to my GP to investigate possible causes. I'd never heard of tongue tie before and had a good look in my sons mouth but it appears normal. (I know I'm no expert). I think it sounds like he might have reflux/colic. It is reassuring that most of you said that things improved of their own accord by about 11 weeks.... That just seems a long way off at the moment! I'm just going to keep at it though. Thanks again for your help. Now I've been brave and broken the ice, I might try posting more often. It's good to know there's lots of you out there, with sound advice when I'm cracking up! Who knows, next time I might be able to offer some of you some help and advice!
Please do keep posting - this is a very friendly thread full of lovely peopleAnd you'll definitely have help and advice of your own to contribute. One thing I forgot to mention re. moses basket that we've found helps sometimes (but sadly not always!) when LO has fallen asleep on one of us and we need to put her down is to keep holding onto her in her basket for a bit until she has settled - one hand on tummy/chest and one hand on her head. I think it makes her feel safe and comforted that someone's still there with her, so it makes her less likely to immediately wake up. Might be worth trying if you haven't already?
By the way, I think a lot of people who claim their babies are sleeping well all the time are either exaggerating or in denial0 -
Oh boo !! I am getting mine from waitrose as you can collect for free at participating stores (that's if I get em am highly suspicious as it seems too good to be true!)
I just ordered 3 packs, then the postage is equivalent to a pound a pack.I think I ought to be sorted for suits for the next year now as I got some on a Next offer yesterday as well.
We have a doidy cup, it is funny to see him lapping at it.He used to spill loads, till I replaced the water with some leftover milk, now he's much better! I still hold it for him at the mo.

Best night ever! G has only just woken up, put him in his crib at 10 but he was asleep on me for over an hour before that. I reckon I can call that sleeping through?! Probably a fluke but I'll take what I can get
. Only downer (and sorry if tmi)being that as I normally feed him2-3 times overnight my boobs are killing, and the poor little man nearly drowned when he latched on just on now
Hope everyone else had a good night too, and your baba is feeling better after his jabs sunshineNewborn thread member

Morning Mozzy
We put G to bed between 7 and 8, normally do the last feed then but if hes restless when we go to bed around 10.30 I'll change him and feed him then. Giving him a feed at 10 makes no difference to when he gets up in the night so I don't bother waking him unless his nappy is full.Newborn thread member

Aimless - been looking at doidy cups for ages so hope Scott takes to it ! Hope you get your sleep suits ok I ordered 6 packs2 of three different ages ! I missed the next offer whatever it was thats not allowed lol just hope I get em will keep toes crossed!
Mozzy - morning ! Bottle gets 'started' at around 8:30-9pm and we go upstairs at 9 he is then fed on and off in our bed until he drops off between 9:45-10:30 then we transfer to crib when he's fully out in our room. Are you thinking about changing routine because of going back to work ? My ex-boss used to do 7 ish bedtime and hers were at nursery by 8 ish the next day xx0 -
Katiechoc - fab to have a good night !! Painful books are eek though as is wet nighties as mine used to leak !!0

Oops, I posted it in the other place but not here!
Was only a £10 off for new customers through Bounty, not sure if it is ended? I only ordered 3 packs in 2 different sizes, as I have a Boots pack and 3 Next suits in next size up, so ordered one that size and two in the next size. I wasn't sure if he'd still be in sleepsuits at 18-24, or would've got two of them as well!
I had one secondhand JL suit, it felt really nice quality and was a decent size.
George is still snotty, poor thing! And poor me cos he's up in the night more.0
