Kira, she is gorgeous....
Thanks to whoever wished me luck at work (will still blame baby-brain, I maintain it lasts for ages....), I'm having the usual arguments with them already, sigh.... Hopefully easily resolved!
It is SO nice to be almost pain-free, with the exception of the usual tugging and pinpricky type pains down there- I'm on co-codamol only now (hate taking medicine). Much better than the diclofenac I've had to take quite often before the op. Now back off maternity, and am fine to work, to be honest- I just have to move a little slower for a few days yet!

Nutella- Stretchmarks? Thanks to Hitchhiker being close to 15 days late, and apparantly using me as a gymnastic's training room, my stretchmarks start above my bellybutton and continue to close to my knees! Thankfully most aren't bad, though DH needs to learn what constitutes a compliment- 'I love your fire marks.'0

Hi everyone, I was on the pregnancy thread and found it useful at the time, so thought I'd make my way over here.
My gorgeous boy Reuben was born on the 4th June, we had a bit of a rocky start with an emergency c section and then 10 days in hospital as he had a serious infection - but we are getting settled in and while it has ups and downs, I love being his mummy
Here's some pics:

Welcome Turtlemoose and congrats. What a sweetie. I love the casual hand on face pose. My LO used to do that all the time. Sorry youve both had a rough start but glad you are enjoying it now. Just shout if you need to rant/vent/cry, i think we've all been there!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Thanks kira
I'm wary of starting to rant as I may not be able to stop!! I had a terrible time during labour and my extended hospital stay, so much so that I made a formal complaint. But what's worst is I believe my c section was totally unnecessary, and a month on my boy and I are still facing the consequences of it, and I can't watch a video of a vaginal birth, or someone having immediate skin to skin, without dissolving in to tears, as both of those things were taken away from me by the !!!!!! staff/hospital. I don't even need to see one for it to upset me, I try not to think about it as nobody can change what happened, but sometimes it creeps up on me at the most ordinary if times, and it's by far the hardest thing im dealing with in my "new mum home alone" stage.
Hmm....turned in to a bit of a rant anyway, oops.....0 -
