Thanks Ro, but I'm not overly sure I want to see my parents! Mum is doing my head in at the moment - she's just joined slimming world, which is great for her and she has already lost a surprising amount of weight, but she doesn't just mention that, she has started having subtle digs at me about my weight

The other sunday we went to them for lunch as always, and she was making comments about me having pudding - I only have pudding once a week at theirs because we don't keep puds in our house! And I only started getting pudding every sunday when DH started coming with me each week. I think mum is trying to feed him up!

Thing is, I am overweight and have been for years, and mum has been for most of her life too, but bigger than me all along. I have lost as much as her (on top of baby weight) but have not made a fuss about it. I had a baby 5 months ago, she had her last 35 years ago so it's hardly like she hasn't had time to lose it!! Suddenly after decades she is doing something and I am hearing ALL about it

    Rant over!!

    Hi all

Haven't Caught up in ages :o
Can't believe our babies are all growing up so quick!! Baby Noah is 14 weeks now. He has been sleeping through the night since he was 3 weeks so I can't complain!!
Just a quick question, when did you all put baby in a cot rather then a moses basket? Noah is still in a Moses basket next to my bed as I don't want him going in his own room yet!!

    Hello

Crabapple - well what can I say 'can't live with mothers can't live without them' there is nothing more annoying than a Whiney diet freak ! I have always been overweight (blame my mother of course!)
My mil told me she had some left over wool but of course she could not make anything for me as she would not have enough wool to go round me  tryin to think of a line for next time you go round I suggest taking desert telling her it's a slimming world recipe and lobbing every mars bar, pot of cream etc you find in it, 'call it sweet revenge'. :D
I know I could do with losing weight but I am still anaemic so that's my excuse .....

Hello sammie wow sounds like Noah is a well behaved baba what's your secret?! What you up to today?

Just taken Scott out to the shops and bought a few bargain bits inuding swiss chocolate ... I ha e. tennis on but I have no idea what's going on just feeding Scott xx
  • Hi

Would it be okay if I join? I have a little girl aged 8 weeks and the thread looks very useful. I have only recently found time to get back on the internet.

    Hello all :)

Didn't get round to logging in yesterday, so just been catching up on your chat about weaning... sounds like there's plenty of fun ahead of me! Been busy practising my bottle-making skills and pleased to say I've mastered the Mozzy method :D LO doesn't seem to have noticed the switch to powder, so all is well.

Can't contribute much to most of the chat at the moment, but am enjoying reading and learning :)

Hope everyone is having a good day x

Hello Sammie. Baby boy is 22 weeks this Saturday and we built his cot bed yesterday, it's in our room for now. I think I'll keep him until at least 6 months, but I'm leaning towards a year, whether my OH is on board with that I don't know :)

Off topic all of my reusable nappies have arrived, and have been pre-washed, my Little Lambs 5 times  just waiting on my nappy bucket arriving and we're good to go, v excited :D
