    Anything with banana, and some baby rice I reckon. He watches us very closely when we eat or drink anything, and opens his mouth when we have a drink of something, so think he may be ready lol

    Aimless - just picturing you mixing that baby rice in a special way

    Lol, I do put it in a little pot first :D Funny tho, the other two boys are really squeamish about the baby rice because of the milk, big babies :D

    I wasn't sure whether to bother today as he wasn't really interested yesterday, but he was just reaching out for my porridge, so I'll give him a try later. Perhaps not baby rice tho as now I don't have any milk ready!

    Oh, his daddy can't wait to feed him curry! :D

    Pardon my utter lack of enthusiasm but I have my physio checkup for my tear today and I really do NOT want to go - I can't see where this can go other than "having any problems.. no... doing yer pelvic floors... yep... ok" and having to go back to any part of that hospital involved with the trainwreck of her delivery is a pretty harrowing thought after what they put me through.

    Then have the one I'm really considering cancelling - the women's bits bods (well they shoved the appointment card at me but didn't tell me where I'd have to GO for this clinic) checkup on it all in a fortnight... with how they bullied me, how they treated me when I tried to assert my rights to refuse/accept treatment, how they completely ignored my stated wishes and lied to me - causing what I suspect to be permanent damage to part of my pelvis, and how they ignored their own rules of consent.. I don't really want to let them near my lady bits - but if I object - no doubt they'll find some way to bully me, and with having the fact they called social services on me during the delivery - I can't risk that.

    Hugs Dizzi. I recall some of what you wrote at the time and am not surprised that you don't want to go back there. Hopefully these clinics will not be the same, but as you say, more likely to be useless. I had to go for a hospital check 6 weeks after the birth because I had a tear surgically repaired - they didn't even examine me, I could have phoned in to tell them I wasn't incontinent! (Instead I had to get to the hospital early with a newborn, pay for parking, deal with a receptionist who didn't understand why I hadn't brought a urine sample and have a doctor ask me why I hadn't had sex yet :eek:)

    Are you taking any action making a formal complaint, or is it too soon yet?

    Hope all the babbers are doing okay. Mine slept better than usual last night, but still not great and I didn't get the advantage as my brain was too busy thinking about money and going back to work :(. I want to take the full year but I'm thinking the only way to do so is speaking to the bank of mum and dad, and I don't know if they can afford to help me.

    Anyway, not dwelling!!

    Ro - start getting things ready for Scott, it really won't be long (sorry!!). He's 23 weeks now isn't he? Baby rice and fruit & veg are the foods to start with really. If you are doing puree there are lots of packets/jars if you don't fancy making your own but they really are just blitzed fruit and/or veg (I guess have been steamed or boiled first) with a tiny bit of water added.

    The first thing munchkin ate was a bit of strawberry - she was properly nomming at it with her gums! Rare for us to have strawberries but she seems to like the fruit packets with them in.

    Apparently I 'must not sit them on a potty whilst feeding'
    :eek::eek:
    Well quite honestly the thought had not occurred to me.... :eek:

    Hello Ro, you popped on while I was typing.

    Lol at not sitting them on the potty. Perhaps some people think that 'in one end and out the other' will apply and therefore they can potty train at the same time?!

    I'm waiting to hear from my mother. I was supposed to go to baby group and see mum and dad after but didn't make it as LO decided to go back to sleep. I've offered to let them come over later on instead, or go to them tomorrow. In the meantime gnomie is in her jumperoo and I am thinking about doing the washing up... Nappies are in the wash though so at least I have done something!!
