You take a print out with you of where you saw the cheaper price, so if it was Argos print the page out, then take it to Mothercare and they match it and charge you the same at the till.Even now, at 6 weeks, I'm still getting the odd day of very light bleeding, which I'm going to mention to my hv when I see her on Monday, as surely this should all have stopped by now?!
I bled constantly for 8 weeks0 -

hi I havent read back yet as it is busy here today!
Just wanted to wish Ellie all the best for her op tomorrow, and also wanted to let Jenjade know that I am thinking of them both.
Just wondered if anybody had heard from Janninew? Hope everything is well and you and Poppy are settling in ok at home together.
Also hope Rose is ok as saw Lirins post yesterday but didnt get a chance to respond.
WonderWomble have you had any luck with GP yet?
Hope everybody is well and babies are doing ok.0 -

Hi I'm here!! I do read when I can but have so many appointments at the moment I don't get much spare time! Went to see the Consultant today and he told me he's worried about Poppy's weight and she is now classed as 'failing to thrive' just to add to my long list of problems! She really needs to start gaining as they can't do her heart op until she weighs at least 8lb (currently weighs 5lb 5oz) He wants me to alternate breast feeding with a build up formula that he has prescribed. I've just tried her on it and she wasn't impressed - she spat it out and then threw up! Will have to call the Doctor in the morning but will keep trying tonight.
Got to go to the hospital in the morning for Poppy to have blood taken, that will be great fun!
I did venture out with her today on my own for the first time and it wasn't to bad, I got fed up with people staring though and nearly had a go at an old lady in Costa!
Good news is I've received a blue badge for my car which will make travelling with the oxygen easier and Poppy has been awarded DLA at the higher rate, it will all help especially as my mat leave started 3 months earlier than I planned!
Good luck to Jenjade, will be thinking of you tomorrow, try not to worry to much (impossible I know) Doctors who work with babies are fantastic and deserve medals!
Hope all are ok and congrats to Twinkle! I started talking about another baby last night, my husband went conveniently deaf for a few minutes! Even after everything I've been through with Poppy it hasn't put me off!
Take care all and here's hoping we all get a reasonable sleep tonight!

Glad to hear you are managing to cope with everything
May not help you at all but when my daughter was started on neocate I was told to start by giving her only 1oz of it mixed in with what had been her previous formula and build it up gradually to give her time to get used to it. Luckily we had time available to us though which I know is a bit different to your situation. Are you able to mix the formula with expressed milk at all?

I'm not sure, she is on infatrini and the Doctor said just to alternate feeds. I will ask when I go to the hospital tomorrow. She is struggling with the bottle I think more than the milk itself. She has never had a bottle before and is quite uncoordinated, will try again and see how she gets on.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

She has been through so much already that mastering feeding from a bottle wont trouble her too much hopefully
Are you managing to look after yourself ok in amongst everything else you have going on?

Dont know if it will help. but when i told our HV that CJ couldnt/wouldnt drink from a bottle, she suggested trying her with a doidy cup, and that despite the fact that they are technically for weaning age babies, many younger breastfed babies get on alot better with it than bottles, as it uses a similar mouth action. Maybe worth a shot? They are only a few pounds on Amazon.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I'm sure she will get the hang of it! She does like the boob though!
I'm ok most of the time thanks, I have a few wobbles and worry sometimes that after everything I've been through with Poppy that it will suddenly hit me and I'll start to feel low. I have suffered with depression before but I see my own Doctor regularly and he keeps an eye on me. I do worry how I'll manage with the oxygen and Poppy's medication routine when my hubby goes back to work, but I have family to help. I often wondered how I would manage when I was pregnant if I had a baby with medical conditions or disabilities, but you just do manage and I wouldn't change her for the whole world! She is so sweet and little, but when she looks at me you can tell by her eyes that she isn't a newborn and seems to have all sorts going on in her head!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
