I think it depends, if you go places from the house that are only a short distance, like baby group/the park etc then you probably would get a lot of use from them, but if you tend to go in the car into town etc I think they're a bit redundant. I tried A in one in mothercare, the proper smart trike too and it seemed unstable to me and quite uncomfy especially compared to his pram. I suppose they are always gonna be occasional use aren't they as they won't replace a pram but you'd use them a lot in summer (if we get any sunshine
)
Good that they grow with them too so they can go themselves. I like the look of the little coupe car things if you have a garden anywayThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

I like the smart trikes, not good that they are unstable though. Little tikes do a nice one too. Not sure how often we would use it tbh, our house is up for sale atm and I want to ideally be within walking distance to my mums, so could use it if that happens, would also be near a park there too. Its alot to spend though on an off chance of some decent weather
I like the coupe cars too, my sister has a 2.5yr old so we have some garden toys being handed down to us.
Right...tea...

Sunshine - I almost got one of the finger print necklaces, decided to go for a different one in the end - I got a small heart with mine and OH's initials engraved on it, and a separate teeny round charm with g on, all sterling silver on a silver chain. Was my Xmas pressie from Oh and I love it to bits
I like the look of the trikes too, but we're a good 15 minutes from the park and we have to walk down an unmade road full of potholes and then over some cobbles, so maybe not the best idea for us. We've got a communal garden though so thinking of getting a couple of bits to stick in there, no one ever uses it anyway.Newborn thread member

I've got the Little Monster one - love them!!!

If that one had been on cheap too I'd have been torn over which to get! I honestly can't believe how excited I am about it coming tomorrow. In my defence, both the other two I've had have been second hand, this is all shiny and newNewborn thread member

Evening all
Thought you might enjoy this article about baby names: www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-21229475 It really is shocking what some people call their children  Although I must admit to laughing out loud at Post Office. And I did once meet someone called Lettuce
First week back at work is done and dusted. The first day was tough, but after that it got better, and I've actually enjoyed using my brain againLO did really well at nursery today - she was playing, smiling, laughing and talking :T She was sooooo tired when we got home though - she nearly fell asleep in the bath!
Off to Kenya on Monday morning for a work meeting - back on Friday morning. I'm really not looking forward to leaving my little girl for that long, but I know she'll be fine with OH, and I'm trying to remind myself of the total luxury that is three consecutive nights of uninterrupted sleep...0 -

Hi Nutella
Glad that work has got a bit easier. Your LO sounds like she is doing great at nursery!
Kenya!! Sounds exciting. Can I ask what it is you do? Fab news you can catch up on some sleep too!.
Katie, where is your necklace from? It sounds lovely.

Reuben and I had coffee and cupcakes with aimless and George here today: http://fallenangelbakery.com/locations/harborne/
The cupcakes were amazing!!
Reuben and George enjoyed dadadada-ing at each other, then laughing at each other, then the grabbing (george) and hair pulling (reuben) started so they had to be separated/distracted :rotfl:
Fluff that's an extortionate amount of money for a pram! Pretty though! We paid £96 for ours, which included a car seat! I only used the car seat for 6 months before he grew too tall for it, so I'm glad we went for a cheapie (it's a hauck). We use the pushchair but not loads, love my wrap (a woven) and I'm buying a mei tai today
The wrap is a total godsend when he's teething! Instant soothingjust need to get up the courage to wear him on my back outside - I do it at home but not quite confident enough to wear him out yet

Thanks missbunbury - I'll try rubbing her back though I do think she was agitated that the milk was too slow, put her on the other side and she stopped faffing about!
Thanks marta - I force myself out too, I'm quite happy in the house
Where can you get finger print necklaces done? I saw one a while back and thought it was lovely but can't remember where I saw them
Nutella - having read the article, I'll admit, my favourite name was indeed Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116Thank God I'm not in Sweden! Wow Kenya is a long way for a meeting! I get annoyed at having to go to Birmingham
In the latest BF/Express saga news the Calma teat was a resounding failure she absolutely hated it and didn't know what to do which suggests to me her latch on me is rubbish (hence nipples getting pinker by the day :o) - she was fine with the MAM bottle again though I'd only managed to express an ounce (boo) it was all practice for her with the bottle. If she hasn't put much weight on this week again I might try and see if I can find a lactation consultant. I really do feel like the milk has dried up but I keep reading this is supposedly a normal feeling during the suspected 6 week growth spurt.
Anyway, have a good night all0 -
Fingerprint necklace. I love this website, bit pricey but has some gorgeous stuff.

Hello! How is Aiden doing now? Been thinking of you guys - was he OK at nursery after all those days away from it all?
I work in international developmentI used to travel a lot before LO was born and have always enjoyed exploring all sorts of weird and wonderful places around the world, but will have to stay at home a lot more whilst she's so young. I've already said no to Bangladesh in April
But - I can't wait to take her on adventures once she's a bit older
