I'm the same sunshine, we had bjorn (I know, not good for bub's back etc but I didn't know at the time!) but we didnt use it all that much, and it was no good for round the house really. Those look fab!
Just glanced up from reading the last few posts and the monkey has got into a packet of wipes and chucked a load across the room. Naughty! He's supposed to be worn out after terrorising the soft play area!
Oh and my pram is going to be here tomorrow, not bad considering I went for the super saver free delivery. Can't wait!Newborn thread member

The slings look fab! Do they not hurt your back though? I'd like one but this little one is 12lb now and heavy enough to carry anywhere!
I agree dizzi - I'm viewing the breast pump as rental really as they go for a decent price on eBay compared to what I paid.
Breast feeding mummies I'm after you again! Miss insatiable appetite has been at the 2 hour feeds again - she seems quite agitated after 15 or so minutes abd keeps latched on but seems annoyed that nothing is coming out abd pulls at the boob. A quick squeeze suggest there is still milk there but I decided to switch her over to the other side which I never do and she seems happy again. I don't want her to get too much fore milk by doing this. I didn't think milk could run out? I'd it possible I don't have enough?0 -
Mine is a Close brand, think they have just been renamed Caboo, which I think is a lame name! They're about fifty quid brand new, got mine on eBay for £25. It it the same sort of arrangement as a front cross carry with a stretchy wrap, but it's pre-done for you and has tightening rings, I can literally bung it over my head and pop the baby in. We also have a stretchy wrap which I have used, don't know how much I'll be bothering with it now to be honest, this new one is so convenient.0

When A gets agitated mid-feed it's usually that she has a burp ready. Then once she's burped she'll go back on as if it's made room! This burping business is a mystery to me, I don't burp at all ever and never have, I am a bit of a freak!0 -
I've got one of the Caboo Close slings. They're fab. Mind you, I can't carry Freddie now - he weighs 18 stone."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

You can get fab carriers too that aren't bulky sunshine, means they may be more unisex for your hubby to use. Maybe rose and rebellion they are fab and have buckle fixings so easy for you to get on and off. They carry baby in the frog position too which is good for there legs. Mei tais are brill too.
Generally carriers like baby bjorn are rubbish, bad for babies legs and back and quite sore for mum or dad to carry as soon as baby is above 10lbs.
I'm trying to convince my OH to get me a rose and rebellion ATMThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Lol fluff
Thnx Gilly. I really like the look of the ones the other ladies posted for whenever we decide on another baby. Im going to google a rose and rebellion now. We only really used our carrier on holiday really so it was a waste of money
I really want a pendant with A's foot or handprint inside...theyre only tiny ones, one of our friends had a pandora charm done. Anyone think its a bit tacky??! Dont want to look silly!!

Moneypenny, my lo is 10lb and I carry her with no problem, much better than carrying her on my arms. The sling crosses at the back, again at the front and has support all over round the hips, so it feels very comfy. It's supposed to last up to 5-6 months. After that, I'll try the Stokke one again for outdoors and maybe buy a neighbors tai (or whatever the spelling is) for the house. I prefer the carrier to the pram because I can go around without thinking about stairs, steps, narrow spaces , etc. But I never go out for too long, I'm a geeky house animal. I'm forcing myself out because of this little pretty thing.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

I don't think they are tacky at all I think they're really nice
Rose and rebellion are more for outdoor use Id say so maybe pricey if they'd only be used really occasionally. Mei tai are a good budget option and comfy, both of those can be used as a back carry for an older baby too, and shouldn't be uncomfortable to use at all.
There are sling librarys dotted around the country so you can always try before you buy if you were interestedThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
