Ikkle, britax do a few 0-4 yrs car seats. I hve the britax first class plus, and so does gilly and katiechoc.

The britax website has a basic car seat finder tool for your make and model of car. I say basic because it doesn't come up with the first class plus for me (ford focus) yet it does fit....so would only use it as a starting point iyswim :)

It was a first class plus one we looked at. This one http://www.mothercare.com/Britax-First-Class-Plus-Combination-Car-Seat---Lisa/450560,default,pd.html and she said it wouldn't fit and suggested a different car seat that was priced over £300 :o that checker didnt bring any birth to 4yrs seats up but has suggested some for when he's 9 months so thanks x

    Morning all :)

Hope babies and mummies slept well. I had five hours of uninterrupted sleep (11pm - 4am) - no demands for dummies, no crying, just sleep sleep sleep! :j She wanted the dummy at 4, but went back to sleep until 4.45, when she was all ready for a new day and raring to go. She's now on her first nap of the day whilst I'm cooking her lunch.

Xmas shopping is all done, dusted and wrapped :D Ro, hope you managed to keep the rest of your presents safe from babies and pets!

Ikkle, good to 'see' you, and yay for jumperoo!

Sammie, that's fab re. your DP's holiday - enjoy! :)

Bf support came today and suggested I should get domperidone to increase milk supply.I've read the description and there are a few side effects and contraindications that worry me. Anyone knows anything about this? I definitely haven't got enough milk, I should be pumping between 1 and 2 ounces, and I don't make a quarter if lucky. DH doesn't like the idea of taking it and there are some reports that increase the sodium levels on the baby to dangerous levels.

So cute the wrapping incidents lol, I laughed just imagining the picture.

    Hi Hunni,

My Doc prescribed domperidone after I had been expressing every 3 hours for 1 month and my supply started to dwindle. After taking it for just 2 days my supply literally doubled which having a very poorly baby in the NICU was such a relief. I had no side effects from taking it and would take it again in a heartbeat. I think if I hadn't taken it, my milk would have dried up and I wouldn't still be breastfeeding a year later! If its important to you, have a chat with your Doctor and see what they say. My Daughter has been on domperidone since she was 2 months old so her having a small amount in my breast milk wasn't a problem according to my Doctor.

    Good luck.

Hope all lovely ladies are OK, and all ready for Christmas!

    xx

Hi all, just dropping in to say I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas. I have a list of chores as long as my arm here, and my Dad arrives tomorrow so I probably won't be around much.

Hope Santa is good to all the babas and all the babas are good to mummy and decide the festive period is as good as any to start sleeping better. Xxx

Phew - survived Tesco this morning (you know it's bad when the soldiers from the local barracks are walking up commenting that "flipping heck it looks like a warzone in there")... got all her 6-9 month clothes packed away (some still just about fit her but with recycling them it's easier to keep them all in neat sizes) and all the stuff from 0-3 up boxed up and sorted out and hidden in the wardrobe - so I've now got a chest of drawers free to put the washed newborn stuff in.

Gonna be rich pickings at the charity shops when all this stuff finally drifts its way down to them (apart from the 6-9 month stuff which is knackered from weaning)... half of it's from Next (joys of living 2 mins from the clearance store)! Had a rake around Tesco's reduced kids clothes this morning - got a sweater type dress (I like these on her - they're nice and soft) with tights for £40 but the next size up 12-18 months is a bit of a dead ground between baby and girls' clothes so slim pickings there - thankfully my mother bought out the Matalan clearance shop when all their end of summer stuff drifted in in sizes up to 2 years so we're relatively sorted out (apart from vests and stuff that I can pick up easily) on that front... have learnt from last year and been buying tights now as they're nigh on impossible to find in the summer months and you don't always want bare legs with pretty dresses!

Fluff - the travel cot looks good don't personally have it, only think I would be checking is that the inflatable mattress isn't too strong smelling, I know that sounds bonkers but I think u know what I mean !! We bought a travel baby bath that partly inflated and the smell annoyed me.
  • Happy Christmas to everyone, bubs and families included. I haven't really got into the Christmas spirit much this year as just too busy looking after little guy. Me and dh are going to attempt to make mince pies tomorrow not that we can't bake just finding the time.

Little guy finished his antibiotics Thursday hopefully it has cleared his uti. He had his kidneys scanned on Thursday which he enjoyed seemed very interested in the ultrasound screen, everything was normal.

Got a few things I want to get in the sale, probably going to be online shopping.

    Evening ladies

Merry christmas to all the ladies and babies that won't be on here until after the big day!!

Noah has been like a little whirlwind today!
My lounge floor is covered in mega bloks and raisins! DP has gone out for his works do so I think I'm going to watch something on netflix when the kids are in bed.

I only have to wrap the stocking presents and I'm all ready for crimbo, so excited now :D I am hoping the boys don't get up to early this year though as last Christmas they were throwing stocking presents in my face at 4.30am
