Morning All,:p Thank you for all the kind posts yesterday after my revelations - I feel a little better about things than I did yesterday i can tell you :D.
I indeed was so down I could not even face going on line to read updates on diarys..thats how bad it was :rotfl:

Anyway today is another day - finally got a response from said CC that I am doing some BT's with as they had not gone through..only to be told, they were not processing any and I needed to do this again..so i did, so another week of interest it would seem Grrrr..anyway hopefully done now :T

Did the snowball this morning and according to that my DFD is Aug 2015..so I had a start date ( yesterday and an end date Aug 2015) but time to get my head out of sand and start bringing the DFD forward ideally I want it in 2014 at the very latest..so I need to get going. OH working all weekend, so I will be the ebay queen for 48hrs:o

    Happy Friday xx

So much has happened and its only Saturday morning!:o
Well where do I start - I was shopping at 7am this morning, I know I know..but OH had gone to work - and I knew that the cat food in our local T was on special and they do not keep much there, so went there are brought a few boxes..So much for an NSD but I see it as an investment, as wont need some until end of July now - so did save about £10.00 :money:

Anyway all good i thought so I come home and think right that £10.00 I will pay off one of the debts, so I check one of the CC's and the balance zero..( not a BT ) but a payment I had a credit that cleared this done..woohoo:j. I then have a cuppa while I decide if I am brave enough to close it..what if i have an emergency? what if they offer me a 0% in the next month or so - I can transfer the remaining on interest etc etc you see where I am going with this:o
Anyway a few hours later, I decide to bite the bullet and call them to cancel..so I am speaking to a lovely person who tells me whilst they cant guarantee after looking at my account in the next few months I will probably be offered a 0% deal..I stand firm and NO I say I would like to close it.. So they do, then I go to online banking and close my bill payment as I wont need this anymore ...:T
But it closes all my access instead - so I call back and fail security :rotfl: So am now desperately waiting for a call back to get this sorted - So much for a morning of sorting things...

Should of just kept the CC in a drawer somewhere Aww well

Hope everyone else is having a better morning XX

:j And I am back a few hours behind my plan but ...

    1. Have closed a credit card down. :D
    2. Have paid £10.00 from savings earlier to another CC ;)
    3. Spoken to a broker to see if they can improve on the life/mortgage cover I have.:T

Off to do some HW before I start the *baying...

    Have Fun x

Morning All, So it Monday is back with us again, and so is the rain :(.

Having checked it would appear that none of the BT's have gone through yet..I know realistically it will be the end of the week ( fingers crossed) I was just hoping that things may be processed a little earlier that is all..I can save myself a few pennies in interest :money:

Anyway not much to update on really - listed 5 things, although having a big dilemma with myself - so you list at the price you know you should get for something, or do you list it cheaper - so you do sell it, and someone gets a real bargain..I am just kind of loathed to almost give things away...anyway went for the cheap listing option so we will see..:rotfl:

Paid a little more off a CC over the weekend which was nice, and whilst clearing out found some old unused currency so will be finding how much that is all worth and cashing that all in sometime this week - probably about £2 or something but it all adds up..

Anyway enough of the ramblings - must be off to prepare for work

    Happy monday xx

  • Morning Aamberle. Well done on closing that credit card, it's bl**dy tempting to keep them 'just in case' isn't it but too dangerous in my opinion!! Glad to hear you've listed your items for sale too - another few steps in the debt free direction :T I definitely find with eBay I always get more interest if I start cheaper and things tend to find there level as long as they are not really obscure items.

Morning All and welcome to Tuesday :j.

Well a little update - finally had some of the BT's go through overnight. This means that I can now pay some balances off some cards and then can close them down..:T. Whilst I know technically the balances have not gone, and will have gone up due to BT fee..I do know have the opportunity to make some payments on zero percent card - so balance should start going down..:).

So I have today paid a whopping 0.99 on one of the CC's which means that once this goes through it can be closed. Which I am very pleased about as it is supposed to be a zero % card and every month they do not charge me interest but do indeed charge me a "promotional interest" which works out about half my monthly payment! So in future this payment will actually be for this payment ..imagine that :rotfl:

Ok going to try and get to the bank today to pay balance off another card - once that is zero another card closed - Although I am debating changing this to a cashback card and paying off every month..I should earn about £15.00pm cash back that way. May aswell try and get some of my interest I have paid in the past back...And yes I will pay this back each month - I have very much learnt my lesson...

Just have to wait for the others to go through..but this is a good start to a Tuesday.

A very good start to the day :) have you looked at the Payment a Day thread on the DFW boards? It's surprising what little amounts add up to :)

  • All sounds really good aamberle!

With all my ebay stuff, I tend to just stick it on at 99p, no matter what it is. Only exceptions were some ball gowns that I sold and I waited until there was a free listing weekend to put those on - started them off at 4.99 and they all went. Some went for that and some went for much more. But the way I saw it was that they were out of my wardrobe where they were never going to get worn and it was some pennies in my bank account.

Hi Slowly - I did, but not sure where I could get all this extra money a day..no matter how small. Do you calculate from savings you made by not buying something..or do I need to be looking downwards as I walk around to get lucky..:rotfl:
