Well what a difference a day makes..It would appear that I may be being refunded slightly more than I was expecting to my cards..exact figures not yet confirmed, but target number 2 maybe be clear by the end of the month, and I may even have a little left to pass to number 3...I need to stay really focussed..I need to clear all this - if for no other reason i can have a full nights sleep without waking up worrying if I am paying things off in the correct order..
Target number 3 is £3400..ouch! But I can chip away at it and it will be gone sadly not as fast as the debt rose though..hey ho.2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.

Well I am back and another month nearer to debt free freedom. It's been a tough month, what with the very hot weather and the sun burn, and the numerous bbq's we just have not had a moment to ourselves! Oh wait..sorry I must still be dreaming of the hot weather -it is still raining here in this part of the country, infact I think it has only stopped once or twice in the whole of April..Ahhh British weather - you got to love it.:rotfl:
Anyway back to how I am doing - well its been another tough month, but we stayed pretty much on track - and *fanfare please* I may have just about got OH on the MSE train as well...bit more of an update later but he turned down a weekend away with the lads and told them he could not go as he had bee spending too much and needed to save some pennies. I nearly fell off my chair..lol.:rotfl:
Anyway the weekend is going to be fleabay spectacular - I have decided that I will be listing at least 20 things over the weekend ( big and small) and OH has even agreed to have a little sort out - which is handy as I wont need to sort things for him..:money:
Anyway must dash....2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.

Keep going!!!
It's difficult when it's just down to chipping away at it with small amounts. Slowly slowly catchy monkey and all that.
How are you managing the small cc payments or have you switched to letting the money accure and then a big monthly payment? Have you heard anymore from the mortgage company about that?Debt free in

Mummy - OMG How do you do it? That is 9 months cut off your deadline Fa-Tas-Tic..Way to go..
I keep chipping away - I have been trying to save and do lump payments, but it is just not for me - I am defo a girl that needs to see little and often.:D
So will be going back to that, it keeps me focussed and also keeps me feeling a little more positive that some how we will get there - even if it is 2050:o...The Mortgage issue has gone away, as our hse fell through and after a many many discussions we have decided to stay it makes financial sense.2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.

Oh no, I'm sorry that the move fell through. I believe these things happen for a reason though.
Thank you. I've been lucky so far and have claimed 2 lots of PPI and have sold £400 worth on ebay for the last 2 months so I've been able to clear a CC and a huge chunk of another. I've got an insurance payout lump sum sat in one of my savings accounts which I'm just waiting to work out how much I can put to the OD and then the majority of an OD will be gone too. But that's it. No more big payouts and so that is our DFD and will probably stay that way. We'll be doing very similar to you and chipping away at it with really small amounts, so I need to keep motivated. It's really difficult not to slip back into our old ways but I'm sure we'll get there.

Yes I think these things happen also
- I am just waiting for things to turnaround. But keep chipping away every penny you pay off is a penny nearer to the end
.
Anyway had quite a good weekend - listed a few of the bigger items on fleabay, and they all sold. Which means I have cleared another CC * mini wave dance* I can't believe it really. Also sold some other items and waiting for the money to transfer to my account from *PPal* then that is another £30 to my next CC.
Bank Holiday weather been rubbish, infact still raining now..oh to be a duck...
Anyway off to update my signature Happy Tuesday Peeps2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum also. Have been getting Martins email and reading threads on here for ages. Recently I've noticed debt creeping up and income going down so have finally jumped in to face up to facts. I haven't done my SOA yet, though have had a look at the site recommended and am gathering figures at the moment.
Have been reducing spending for some time but am aware that the people on here spend a lot less on groceries, etc. One challenge is to cut the cost of spending yet try and keep the diet healthy. Thank you Aamberle for your posts. Its easier to dig in if I know others are still at this point also.0 -
Well here we are a Sunny Day ..whoop whoop. I did not think we would ever get there. Being very MSE today - washing drying on the line, ( £'s saved from not tumbling) I know I probably should of washed through the night to save a few more £'s ( DH advised me this morning - he is becoming very MSE) however not MSE enough to load and switch it on all by himself..:rotfl:
I am currently having a massive sort out and doing the chuck or sell thing.. but it seems to be creating more mess than it supposed to, I am being really quite tough with it all - its quite theraputic actually..:o I may need to cut down on the coffee..Anyway sort out ready for more things on fleabay over next few weeks - I really need to get this cleared - have given myself the target of all of it gone by Christmas 2013 which is a stretch I know, but hey I need something to aim for:eek:
Update for the week - Only managed 2 x NSD, which is not so bad better than none. And planning on today being one so already 50% there for this week :-).Had a recorded message left from CC chasing an extra payment for £7.00!! Not sure if it is really or not as the recording wanted my card details and DOB. That and to the some of the monies refunded went on that card ( over £1500) makes me wonder....Suppose I better check just in case..but still think its a liberty chasing when they have already been paid 1400 more than the minimum expected payment for this month..I know there will probably be something in the small print lol..
Anyway off to declutter some more..Happy Sunday All xx2012 The year I started dealing with my debts.
