Well I should of known the sun was never going to stay around for long..It is pouring outside, and has been for hours - although the greyness and the rain kind of matches the mood for a Monday..
Another week of listening to the politics of others - i really do need to *say it quietly, so no one hears* think about the prospect of a job closer to home, that would be very MSE and also helpful on the sleep front..mmm will ponder on this one for a bit though..
Ok MSE for a Monday - Lunch made, and DH filled car with fuel yesterday so hoping for the 2nd NSD in as row...go me :T

Have a good one all x

Well here we are a Sunny Day ..whoop whoop. I did not think we would ever get there. Being very MSE today - washing drying on the line, ( £'s saved from not tumbling) I know I probably should of washed through the night to save a few more £'s ( DH advised me this morning - he is becoming very MSE) however not MSE enough to load and switch it on all by himself..:rotfl:
I am currently having a massive sort out and doing the chuck or sell thing.. but it seems to be creating more mess than it supposed to, I am being really quite tough with it all - its quite theraputic actually..:o I may need to cut down on the coffee..Anyway sort out ready for more things on fleabay over next few weeks - I really need to get this cleared - have given myself the target of all of it gone by Christmas 2013 which is a stretch I know, but hey I need something to aim for:eek:
Update for the week - Only managed 2 x NSD, which is not so bad better than none. And planning on today being one so already 50% there for this week :-).Had a recorded message left from CC chasing an extra payment for £7.00!! Not sure if it is really or not as the recording wanted my card details and DOB. That and to the some of the monies refunded went on that card ( over £1500) makes me wonder....Suppose I better check just in case..but still think its a liberty chasing when they have already been paid 1400 more than the minimum expected payment for this month..I know there will probably be something in the small print lol..
Anyway off to declutter some more..Happy Sunday All xx

Hi LP - Thanks for the invitation, and I may have *lurked*at the door of Christmas 2012 ;) But was too scared to knock and go in..Christmas 2013 is a scary enough thought...so I am kind of standing at the end of the road with the Christmas 2013 door in view..almost ready to take the first step towards it..:D I will however keep *lurking* and wish you all the best xx

So people I got through Monday and yes I made it - I managed another NSD :j 2 in a row...go me, go me.
Anyway not so sure Tuesday will be the same, but we can all hope..

Update on CC - apparently the refund credited back to the card does not count as a payment..oh and then the cheeky monkeys tried to charge me a late fee, well I can tell you they changed their mind PDQ after I explained in a few Monday words what I thought to that:rotfl:So I have paid the £7.00 and had the £12.00 reversed, yes I know it means that Monday was not a NSD but it was on a card and its not gone out my account yet - so when it does that will be the day my NSD will be on a break :-).

Got a payment from my Ama**on sales today, so another £25.00 paid off the CC
Off to update my signature, and dig out my oars to set sail to the place that pays the bills..

    Happy Tuesday All x

So here I am a few weeks later to provide an update. :eek:I have still been very MSE just not been able to get on here to update..but basically have managed to get a new CC - Now before anyone tells me off, I have a plan ( yes I know the plan is what got me into this mess in the first place). Anyway my plan is this..I have transferred all the debit I can onto a 0% cc for 22 months..Which means I can really focus on paying the debt rather than the interest..sadly I have not managed everything over there, but I reckon a good 90% which can be only a good thing cant it? Oh no the paranoid fairies have kicked in...Please somebody tell me it is the right thing...
Anyway the plan was ( i thought it made sense now not so sure..lol) was that I will close and yes I really mean close all the cards that I have managed to get BT over that will leave with us with 4 debts to pay, I know the balance has not gone but it reduces the number of payments down p.s. this also includes 1 of the loans and saves us about £150 pm in interest alone. Have worked through the budget and basically we OH and I are splitting the payments..He is responsible for the BT card and I the others..we are then going to have a bit of healthy competition and see who can pay off the most by the end of this year..wont be cleared, not until end of next year but it all helps..anyway at the end of each month whoever is doing the best the other has to make breakfast in bed on the weekend for the following month...lol. Sounds a little crazy I know, but it keeps both of us focussed, and OH is rubbish on the mornings, and as he is just starting to be MSE I thought if he thinks he may get a lie in and breakfast in bed each weekend, he may try a little harder..Wow now I have written this it sounds very underhand but all is fair in love and payments right???:A

Anyway must be off..will update later with the rest of whats been going on..

Have a good Friday All xx

    Hi Sista
Thanks for the post and looking forward to your diary coming out..no pressure;)

Anyway just logged another post about Arrow Global on a bit of a panic now..as think may have to find £500 for a debt that isnt even a debt..

Anyway BT has not gone through yet, so interest still building..grrr. But we will get there.

Been a NSD for me today which can only be a good thing, and have finally started clearing the the office of paperwork ( shredding loads). Off to do some housework - Not sure how it gets so untidy when there is only the 2 of us!lol.
Also going to be ebaying I think over coming weeks, as seem to have a few bits to clear through, and definately looking into the cash for clothes locally..as they say every little helps...

    Be back later xx

    Morning All

Can you believe the sun is finally out here  and I have woken in very positive mood..:D
Did my list of jobs that need completing for the weekend, and already I have listed on ebay, cleaned the bedrooms and the bathroom only the downstairs to do. Done the washing, out on the line no TD for me today ( very MSE).
Going to make HM lasagne with salad for tea..yum. and have finally decided to kick this debt properly I really do need to get another job.
Big decision and not one that I am taking lightly, but not only will it be financially a good idea, I think my health and well being will improve also..so been looking and have even applied for a couple so we will see..I am terrified if I am honest, it has been over 10 years since I went looking for another job..will probably fall apart at the interviews ...lol. But need to do something..
It was a NSD Saturday woohoo, but sadly not today..I am off into town to buy family and friends birthday presents, cards etc..Think I am going to have a new ruling that no more friends or family that have birthdays in June - They could at least be a little considerate for those having to be creative and financially savvy when it comes to this, and spread it out throughout the year :rotfl:
Anyway paid a few pound off my card today - so will update my signature in a bit..

Anyway off to try and finish my list - see you all later xx

Well here we are its a Wednesday and (((The Sun is Out))) yes that is right we have sun!! So if that does not put me in a good place I am not sure what will..

Not much to update really except managed to get another 0% card today - so that means nearly all CC debt will now be interest free which is good..and I have 22 months to clear it so need to get my skates on as I really want to clear this by the end of next year (2013) Thats the target date I have given myself maybe ambitious but hey got to start somewhere :D. As soon as the BT go over I will cutting these little monkeys up once and for all and closing them..Very excited - Sad I know :rotfl:

It is just a shame I cant be as excited about the bay of e that I need to sell things on, I have gone through and bagged everything that I think will make me a small fortune ( small being the main word here) but hey it all helps..but it is still bagged and has been for a week or so now..I need some inspiration for this....

Anyway off to work now, have a good day xx

  • Hi Aamberle

I have been reading your thread with interest as seems you were in a similar place to us (both good jobs, keeping on top of repayments but huge debt). Just wanted to say well done on your progress and on the 0% cards. It'll be a great way to shift the debt quicker and sounds like you are disciplined enough not to spend on them again!! Hearing how you've repaid such a huge amount in a pretty short space of time gives me so much hope and motivation to tackle ours :) Please keep us posted.
