    Hi Aamberle,

Sorry to hear about the job situation, hope your OH gets all the info he needs to chose which to apply for soon. Great that you are staying postive and still making jokes :D

Morning All, Hope everyone is well and welcome to monday :D.
Not much to report really - had a family weekend, spent more than I should but ( I will say this quietly) I don't actually mind - well i do but I do not get to see all my family very often, so dont mind as it is a once in a blue moon thing..:rotfl:.
Anyway - Also DH got some of the online testing out of the way yesterday- so hopefully he will be in a better mindset today- he really had wound himself up about it..so hopefully now stage one is done, he can relax a bit..
Sold a couple of things on ebay over weekend. But I have moved it to a savings account, rather than pay a bill until the end of a month - as not sure if I will need it or not due to the extra spends over the weekend..Brought a couple more Christmas presents - so they should be delivered this week..woohoo. other than that not a lot to say really..will be off to work now
    Have a great Day xx

    Hi Aamberle

Now and again we will have to have a little spend or I think we would go mad, and when its spent on time with family, that can't be a bad thing :D

Great to hear you are doing well on ebay too.

Morning All, Just a quick one this morning as I am running very late for work..
Welcome to a cold and frosty Monday - Not major things to report in the A household.DH has had one interview/meeting so far another this week coming ( date yet to be advised) and some more next week. Bless him he is like a bear with a sore head..I think the not knowing is driving him crazy..aww well - it will be over soon enough.
MSE front - still ticking over - had a few ebay sales over the weekend - so another couple of £'s to the pot..It all helps.
What I did find however was an old notebook from 2011 ( spending diary of sorts) and found at the beginning of 2011 we owed a staggering £56,824.50..Although it was probably much more - as I know I ignored a few bills/debts so I felt better about things..but even so this means that sine Jan 2011 I have "officially" paid off £20,459.50.!!Which is blinking amazing..I am actually thinking about changing my starting figure to this - just to remind me how far we have come... We will see - Anyway must dash...

    Have a great Day XXX

Wow Aamberle that's a massive amount that you have paid of since Jan 2011, I think you should add it to your signature, as it's a major achivement and shows just how much you can pay of in such a short apce of time :j

Morning All, Hope everyone is well on this rain battered Tuesday! A bit of an update - still no news on DH job front. We should know within the next 2 weeks..although there is rumblings that it may happen this week but we will see...
Also having a HUGE dilemma - for those of you that have been with me from the beginning you will know that earlier in the year we were supposed to move, and with one thing and another it did not happen.:o Anyway short version - we are looking into it again..a house has come up that could actually be our forever home. It is below usual asking value and we have been advised that owners will take below asking price - as their personal circumstances have changed etc etc. Anyway we drove past it over the weekend ( yes I am a drive by house hunter) both of us went very quiet and just stared like a couple of kids:rotfl: Anyway spoke to mortgage company. estate agent etc etc and basically depending on what the valuation on our house is we may and I mean may put an offer in after we have done a proper viewing..( booked tomorrow evening).
I know this sounds daft with all the other stuff going on at the moment - BUT DH def has a job we just do not know which one. The house is bigger and better and because of how the rates have changed payments will be the same as now as we have agreed that if we move that the last of our loan would have to be paid off to balance things out, and anything else we can after all the legal bits are paid..which will give us £400pm back. £200 for extra mortgage and £200 for additional CC's focus. I know writing this it seems crazy but there has been a lot of stuff that has gone wrong with our current house and a lot of the debt has been us getting things fixed..and we are just waiting for the next and the next which trust me is not a great way to live:rotfl:
Anyway also these are changes in 2013 for us ( planned) and if we are to move we have to do it sooner rather than later...But if our house value is too low - we are going to stay where we are.Only moving if it financially makes sense - even though the house is soooo pretty.

Anyway on other fronts - still ebaying like a crazy woman and paying bits off. I am determined to clear everything humanly possible and be as close to debt free by this time next year as I can. A huge task I know but hey whats wrong with a little determination now and again..lol.
Anyway off to work now - catch up soon XXX

    Hi Aamberle,

Pleased to hear your husband def has a job, whatever it is :).
I can understand why you would want to go for your forever home, and you are looking long term. It also sounds like you will only make the move if it really makes financial sense, so it doesn't sound mad :) fingers crossed it all works out for you.

So not much to report really - DH found out which position he has been given at work. Got the role he really did not want, and also the salary has changed ( surprise surprise not for the better) so he will speak with HR this week, also did not get reasons why the actual jobs he were interviewed for were not suitable - but hey he has a job, and after he calmed down about not getting the one he really wanted he looks on it as a positive - 1. He has a job. 2.Alledgely means he wont have to work every other weekend. The downside is Mon-Fri he will probably be away - so I reminded him that means that the house stays tidier ( =positive for me) and also spends stay down as only myself to look after. :D:D. So not all bad!!
In other news, again listed on ebay last night - so now have over 30 things listed. Not as wow as it sounds - started doing my books - so really quick as just enter serial number on back and it does everything else for you - so that quickly built the numbers up..:T. Already have a few watchers, but we will see. Sold a few on Amazon over the months but they seem to take ages to sell, and would use a book website - but when i enter the book they never seem to be taking my books. Obviously I am not reading the right books..:rotfl: Funny that!
Anyway hope everyone is well - Happy Wednesday X
