  • Morning All - Thank you for all your kind messages - very touching :D

Chevalier - OH onboard probably about 90% of the time. Which is much more than expected. He lives in the world of " we manage the payments" so not really sure what the problem is.:rotfl: Then sees how excited I get about clearing things ( I may have been known to shed a tear or 2 with relief when something clears) then he gets 100% onboard - where he does things like go through the garage and give me a list of all the things I can sell - so that keeps me quiet for a bit - he feels better then he relaxes a little ( ie the odd subway, bit for his MC appears you get the idea) then we start again. Although his biggest breakthrough is the fact that he has started cooking more often ( use the cupboard ingredients instead of takeout) which is great..and I think now he has a few £'s left in the month he is starting to try little challenges for himself. But it works for us and we are doing well so not going to complain..and I make him the breakfast in bed most weekends - keeps him happy - and means I get some peace listing more stuff:rotfl:

So made another £40 yesterday - couple of collections last night, the last of my stuff finishes today - which has about £10 all in on it currently although I have a few watchers on a number of items :T so it may increase..then that will be it until the weekend and I find stuff for my next batch - OH has agreed the shed can be my next treasure trove, we have not really been in there since we moved here 5 years ago - so who knows what we will find ;). I know there are a few Christmas trees that can be sold..so thats a start.

On other news - not much really to say, have been buying some Christmas presents over the last couple of months - have taken inspiration from the really organised people on here - so am doing hampers - well my version anyway. I have brought some very large Christmas bags and some tissue paper - and have started buying cheap gift sets - 1 for everyone ( very large family) have wrapped some already and will add some chocs, maybe some HM fudge and some nik naks and been looking at scarf, glove sets for girls, and not decided on boys - but some really good deals at the moment, have been using a set amount each time I sell something i.e. put £2 aside etc..then when enough to buy something I do - that way not really costing me anything. Cant believe I am this organised - I usually do everything the first weekend in Dec..FRi/Sat /Sun and then wrap after that.. This MSE malarky has made me really think differently..I may say ((very quietly)) that I am becoming more organised..:rotfl:

    Morning Aamberle :j

You have been soooo busy with the eBay , am very impressed with the motivation !! I must get back to that :)

Your idea for Christmas bags is a brilliant one - I think I may pinch that :D I don't have masses to buy for and, little to spend, so I might do that this year & just buy a bit each week :)

    Have a great day !

Ps - your other half sounds like a love bless him :)

  • Morning All - Well the rain has finally stopped here which is good - as it would not be very MSE if I had to go and purchase a canoe to get to work in :rotfl:
So I have nearly made it to payday - tomorrow and I cant wait...I have about £8.00 to the A fortune to last me which should be more than enough..which means that tomorrow I again become the hatchet lady and another CC says goodbye forever ( scary laugh follows):D.
Not really sure why I woke up in a good mood today - I need about another 10 hours sleep, I am so not good when the cold draws in - give it a month or so and I adjust and am fine again..
Had a another couple of sales this week - so straight into my savings account that went - I am determined to clear this next CC. So now even if my expenses don't get paid I should still be able to clear it - and if my expenses do come in, then it its savings towards my next focus - which I think I know what it will be, but want payday to come and spend a few hours making sure...But I think I may be pushing or even in the 36's by end of next month if I keep focussed - after that I will be focussing on Christmas, making sure that we are organised and the debt does not increase over this time..:T
Anyway thanks for the support people really means a lot - Anyway work calls so will say goodbye and catch up on everyones diaries later. Hope you all have a great day xx

  • Morning All - Well I have done it! Another CC gone :j:j And this is without my expenses coming through yet. I cant believe I have been that lucky with the sales and just goes to show with a bit of focus what you can achieve.
Weird news - OH received a CC through post today. This is offering 12 months 0% - this was applied for a few months ago - when we were on the @put as much as you can on 0%" It has taken a few months to come through - infact so long we forgot about it. So never people to look a gift horse and all that - have moved as much of the last remaining CC with interest over to it :T:T. So will update where we are later - but this means that my new new focus is to clear the remainder of that card ( about £500) ASAP and then everything else is on a 0%. And while I know the debt has not gone away it does mean we should be making a dent rather quicker than expected as we will not be paying any interest for a little while :money:...So if now is not the time to really focus I am not sure when is.
Anyway off to work - Will catch up on diaries over the weekend Take Care xx
