What suburb of Norwich has the best reputation?!

Any Norwich specific forums anywhere? Would like to put this question out to ppl in Norwich!0

Attleborough is pretty quite and sleepy. It rocks. Quite a challenge to drive to from the outside world.0
-
I would say wroxham too - it has good train links into town. We live about 5 miles from Wroxham, quite near stalham but in a village, very rural indeed. But Wroxham is excellent - the train goes out to North Walsham, a 30 minute or so drive from town.0

I always thought of Wroxham as a 'tourist' town rather than somewhere to bring up a family!?0

Bawburgh, Newton Flotman and Mulbarton?0

Wroxham and Hoveton have thriving communities all year around.0

My children went to primary and senior school in Hoveton (adjoining Wroxham - Roys of Wroxham is actually in Hoveton) - Hoveton St John Primary and Broadland High; - they both used to be excellent, no idea of their current status.
Wroxham/Hoveton are very busy all year round and I can think of only a couple of small businesses that close during the winter - it's a lovely place to live. Problem is, lots of people know this so property is expensive; that's why I only mentioned the idea of this location once, and didn't push it.0 -
Also along with the three others above, (Bawburgh, Newton Flotman and Mulbarton) anyone ideas regarding Spixworth, Colitshal and Rackheath - at this stage these are the last areas on our 'long' list!!0

Of course! Know Spixworth extremely well - not a beauty spot, but functional (large-ish Co-op, Chinese, fish and chips, PO, chemist, hairdresser). Half decent bus service to Norwich, plus the drive into Norwich is the easiest of the lot (North Walsham Road). Huge amount of high density building, and you will get more for your buck - on many of the estates parking is a problem with narrow roads and only room on the drive for one car - they've certainly crammed 'em in. School has always had a good reputation, and it always seems a friendly place. They feed into Blyth Jex High School - used to be pretty awful, but I'm out of date so check. The new NDR will be running just south of the village, so keep an eye on that.
Coltishall - lovely (used to live there), decent facilities, same good run into Norwich on North Walsham Road. You won't get much for your dosh, though. Coltishall has a fairly new school - no idea what it's like now. They feed into Broadland High in Hoveton, which used to be good - no idea now.
Rackheath - no real centre, and plans for an eco-village, so check planning. NDR will also skirt the village, so again watch out for the route which has been decided and (apparently) approved. Not a bad place, but seems very spread out. Know nothing of the schools, though think they feed into Broadland High at Hoveton.0 -
Yet again mufi, fantastic and very helpful review!! Thanks again for taking the time to offer such detailed responses, all info given really helps set a picture!!
Not sure any of them 3 will make short list at this stage, but will cont to research them more!!
Any info on other 3 areas, Flotman, Mulbarton or bawburgh?!0
