Still not finished compiling my stash list! I have made a start on just Christmas gifts and the lists are embarrassingly long, clearly my friends and family are too generous by half and my reputation as a product junkie is well known!! I'm thinking I'll leave makeup out altogether at the moment, while I get other areas under control as it'd be a long winded process listing it all and as mainly eye shadow I think UU will be a very slow process indeed!! Happy to report however three UU and one GA in the last couple of days:

UU#1 No7 Quick Thinking wipes, WBA but only if I had a £5 voucher as think they're pretty overpriced otherwise, do like them though I must admit, replaced with S&G Off Your Face out of my stash, not overly impressed with those on first impression, they're not particularly cheap either

UU#2 Radox Spa Enrich Shower Cream in Coconut oil, WBA as like the smell, got it half price in Boots around a £1, plenty of shower gel etc in the stash though so no need to replace at the moment!

UU#3 L'Oreal intense conditioner that comes with hair colourant, will be getting the dye again once my greys are showing as an 'essential item' so this will be replaced in any case

GA was S&G Hair Supply, my friend happened to mention her hair was feeling frazzled and she needed a treatment and mentioned she loved this, whereas I found it never did anything other than possibly weigh my 'fine but lots of it' hair down - so another item down and a happy friend = win/win!

As a final aside for now, have noticed a heat rash/allergic reaction type raised rash on my neck the last couple of days - changed a few things, most obvious being started using No7 P&P day and night cream - has anyone else ever noticed having a reaction to either of these? My skin is a little sensitive but not overly so so I'm a little puzzled.

    hello newbies :)

    i have a UU!

liz earle perfume sample. WNBA, it is nice but more suited to my mum.

I've got a little collection of these so I'm going to try and make an inroad into them before i start on using up my full size bottles.

also, i think i may have to stop using the RMK skin tuner sample bottle i'm on. i don't know if you've seen them but they think that swooshing a liquid over your face is enough to moisturise it. the way my skins acting suggests it isn't. only problem i have and that i need your sage advice on is what on earth to re-purpose it as?! i was thinking possibly using it as toner in place of my LE one until its gone. only other thing i can think of is chucking it in the bath as a moisturising bath milk type thing lol.

also, for anyone on the lookout, trafford centre debenhams still has the elemis sets, including the one with my day cream in for £33 and the one with 30ml PCMC for £35. i was SO close to buying a third set then i realised i was just being excessive. was seriously eyeing up the reduced origins sets then also realised i just didn't need them.

Welcome all newbies since my last post.
Hi Scrappie - I have just had a count up and have to confess to having 48 :eek:shower gels/lotions/potions in my stash - some are small sizes but quite a lot of them are the 450-500ml L'Occitane ones, plus a few Philosophy 480ml ones for good measure. Now you have made me wonder who in their right mind has all that lot?! This is why I need this thread desperately....:o:o

    1 more UU to report:

Lush Abominable Snowman - WBA if they bring it back next Christmas, it smells like a yankee candle I like and it left me feeling very refreshed, especially after the workout I did!

Is this Jack Frost you are referring to? Love that fragrance although YC have retired it. Managed to pick up a JF candle in the US in October but think that's the last I'll see of it now. :(

Ooh thanks evilsquid. We usually manage a trip to TC on a Thursday night when Emma is at karate so may talk MrM into buying one of the PCMC kits. Cheers.

I have my first UU of 2012: a 50ml tub of TBS Dreams Unlimited body butter. WNBA. Not mad about the fragrance. Much prefer Love Etc. As promised I have made a stash list of my body lotions:-

Hand and Body Lotions – red in use

Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea
Bath & Body Works White Citrus
Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter body butter 50ml
    DKNY Golden Delicious
Elemis Lime and Ginger Body Lotion
    Molten Brown White Mulberry

    In stash:-
    Body Butters:-
    Boots Extracts x 50mls each:-
    Almond
    Bergamot
    Brazil Nut
    Cocoa Butter
    Mango
    L’Occitane Extra Gentle Lotion x 300ml
The Body Shop x 200ml each:-
    Coconut
    Moroccan Rose
    Elemis:-
Exotic Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt oil x 4 x 35mls each
Skin Nourishing Hand and Body Lotion x 2 x 300ml each
    Philosophy:-
Pure Grace Body Lotion x 240mls

    Have put £1.00 in pot.

Have also repainted my nails. Am now wearing Sephora by OPI Fiercely Fabulous - a bright coral colour. Surprisingly, I do already own similar colours so no obsessing about finding this one again.

I will need to buy cotton wool pads tomorrow as well as I'm down to my last one.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    3 UU:j:

BS almond hand cream sample-WIBA? I think it is being discontinued but yes, I bought a full size in the sale. Not at all greasy and has a light scent.I prefer this to hand food because the smell seems to be really strong and clash. I'm not overly fond of the original S&G, it's a bit sickly.

BS cottonseed curl boost sample- WNBA- I've had this forever and never really used it, didn't make a difference to my hair.

Olay natural white day cream-WIBA? can't although I have another 100g jar and my mum has quite a few more () this is too heavy for my skin but like always, I bought 2 without even trying and my mum hasn't got round to trying it:eek: it makes a good handcream though:rotfl:

Hi Scrappie - I have just had a count up and have to confess to having 48 :eek:shower gels/lotions/potions in my stash :o

    Now that's a stash!!

I have a sneeky little, iddy biddy confession to make here - I have not yet dared to open the giant cupboard and count just how many shower gels of different fragrances I actually have. But in the bathroom alone are 12 bottles, all opened, all different! Oops!! :o

Worse bit is the only one I use every day is the ABC one - it makes me feel 'clean'. I work in a hospital and am very concious of scrubbing away any 'bad bugs' that might have hitched a lift home with me!

I buy lots with the intention of giving them away for birthdays - but then they end up in 'the giant cupboard' never to see the light of day. Those kits on QVC were just too good to resist........ BUT NO MORE - I NOW KNOW BETTER.

Also - I got at least 14 bottles of diff sizes for xmas!

  • Two UU to report today:

Philosophy Silent Night Showergel. WIBA? Yes, it was a lovely fragrance but it was a Christmas 2010 special edition :p

Body Shop Candied Ginger Body Butter. WIBA? Yes, it was really nice but I've got a few lotions and potions to get through first :D

Correct on both fronts, and lipstick/gloss anonymous (currently 244 items), eye make up anonymous (currently 270 items), face masks anonymous (currently 45) and moisturisers anonymous (currently 107 items) etc etc - you see the scale of the problem? I can't even begin to list my stash on here as it would take pages.

One of my New Years resolutions is to use a face mask twice a week. I also plan to scrub my hands and apply Liz Earle intensive nourishing treatment once a week to try to use up the 7 x 50ml tubes and the 8 x 15ml tubes I have in hand (no pun intended). It works a treat on my hands but I don't tend to use it on my face as I am not too keen on the smell. Most of these have come from TSVs and kits.

Good to see you over on the SPC - I am going to resist watching Beauty Day - I know I wouldn't buy the NV Perricone as I don't feel tempted to try anything new at the moment but L'Occitane,OPI and Bare Escentuals would be danger zones for me....

If it helps, I confronted my big cupboard and the various drawers I have stored my stash in in 2 rooms of the house to compile my spreadsheet - I now colour code it so I know when things were added so that I can use the older stuff up first. This will be the year that I conquer it!

You are so in the right place and have a stash to even rival mine! I have been doing this challenge for 12 months and still have 42 shower gels . They just take me so much longer to UU than I think they should.

I haven't typed up my stash list yet because I just can't spare that amount of time! Maybe next year?

Hi all again, am back from work and thought I would make a start on my list! Am teaching my FIRST EVER lesson tomorrow (am a student teacher) so naturally am productively procrastinating instead (it IS already planned!) The ones in red are the ones in use :D

    Good luck for tomorrow!

Someone came up with a genius word last year, I think it was procrasti-pamper (please tell me if I made that one up ladies, cos it doesn't look right now I've typed it!) for when you have an essay or assignment that really needs doing, but instead you go for a soak in the bath or paint your nails! :D

  • I have finally realized that I don't like the Lush Eyecream. So I have been using it as a night cream for eyes and my face. Have moved to the Clinique eyecream for day time.

I have a 20 SPF sunscreen lotion that I bought in April last year which I have been saving for my Vegas trip in March. What does everyone think? Should I use it now and buy a new one later. I generally don't use sunscreen in winter as sunny days are few and far between in Scotland. My friend thinks that a sunscreen is necessary in all seasons.

    Impressive stash lists!
I have moved all my stash to bathroom. Atleast now it's all in one place
