Evilsquid thanks again lol. It was all too confusing lol. Yes but 'making sure you have something just in case you run out' turns into buying sets and getting into 3 for 2 deals. Slippery slope lol.Saving for our wedding July 2013!0

luckily for me, virtually none of the stuff i use is in boots/superdrug so i can never get trapped into 3for2. i won't use SLS/SLES on my skin or hair which currently leaves me one shower gel and zero shampoo that i can actually buy from boots and with most of my other stuff, liz earle is the best I've found. i think the only thing i get from boots now is my simple make up remover and 17 brow gel.0 -
Hello, may I join in please? I have been lurking since November, pretty new to MSE. Having recently packed up to move house, I am kicking myself into action to use up stuff and try and formulate what really works for me, and then to only buy the HG's. Not able to post stash, but will try and compile list bit by bit when OH not around! I have a serious nail polish addiction and will be outing those which do not really suit me or rock my boat, but not trying to use up specifically as they are an immediate mood boost, I just love colour around me.
Used up 5 items in November and 6 in December, so I am making a start. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Minerva - I agree with the other comments regarding your idea but wanted to comment further on Helen's suggestion here. I think it would be a great idea in peoples homes - like Avon, Ann Summers, Tupperware (?), Virgin Vie etc - that way you get to keep a closer eye on your stock and tools and the clients would understand that you cant carry around every colour from every brand. Let us know if you take it further
I was thinking about this idea last night and also wondered about the same idea but going to peoples homes rather than setting up a place. For younger clients where you're more likely to experience loss/spillage etc you could keep to lower priced polishes so you can afford to allow for the loss without putting prices up, and older clients you could use the more expensive ranges and perhaps rather than letting them do the nail art completely on their own give lessons or something? I don't know just thinking out loud kind of thing:D:j0 -

1 more UU to report:
Dove Essential Care Hand Cream - WBA if I didn't have 2 more hand creams to go through. This time of year my hands start hurting because of the cold so when I'm at work I put hand cream on every time after after I wash my hands. I work in a hospital so that's a lot of times. Took me 4 days to get through the tube! Evening all
I have just started my stash list, pretty much there. Only things to add are the 3 gift sets i bought in Boots that were supposed to be for Birthday pressie's through the year, havent completely decided whether to keep them myself.
The list is in some sort of order for me, its sort of in brand order rather than by body part (if that makes sense) oh and i wasnt including shampoos but i seem to have collected more than i thought. i still havent included samples or make up. i also seem to have quite a lot of body lotions that were gifted with perfumes. (Never seem to get through those lotions)
Anyway here it is, not dreadful, but enough to be getting on with for the next few months without needing to buy anymore. I also seem to have a few 1/2 bottles that need finishing off.....

Good luck for tomorrow!
Someone came up with a genius word last year, I think it was procrasti-pamper (please tell me if I made that one up ladies, cos it doesn't look right now I've typed it!) for when you have an essay or assignment that really needs doing, but instead you go for a soak in the bath or paint your nails!
Thanks mad_scientist and MoneyQueen, it went really well (for a first lesson) now got first official observation tomorrow  haha
Just about to jump in the shower and try and use up my S&G Clean on Me shower gel.... really want to get onto my Mandara Spa one, smells gorgeous and has been sitting there on the side taunting me since I bought it!
Hopefully will have a few more UU to report soon!Goals for 2012: finish course; get job; new pet; ring; house; car; holiday; learn to knit; size 10; finish '50 books to read before July 18': 17/50 ; savings account: £2450.68/£6000; improve my French and German.... how many can I achieve?!No buying unnecessary toiletries 2012.
