Hi all, been browsing the forums for a while and have decided to join up as 2012 marks a year of changes for me! Have just been considering my toiletries stash and wondering just how long it is going to take me clear it? What can I say, I love smellies.... and yet they seem to take ages to use up! I've been on this S&G shower gel for ages, it just is neverending lol.

Will post my list of shame tomorrow when I have time to count it and order it!!

I'm trying really hard to find my original stash list, but not matter how I try to find it, I can't.

Any idea? No amount of searches has revealed it. :(

I love the idea of this, I'm going to make an inventory of all the products I have and try to reduce it down to one washbag full. I want to get to the point where I've found my holy grail products and I can just keep re-buying the brand I've found I like best, and only when I've almost run out or when they're on a good offer. This'll be the year I change my ways with toiletries!
  • Welcome to all the newbies! Do I detect some New Year's Resolutions? :p I have another UU - The Body Shop Shea Body Scrub. Probably WNBA as it wasn't strong enough for me, but not a bad product in itself.

  • First out of 2012 - Body Shop Moringa Body Butter. WBA as it's nicely moisturising and has quite a 'neutral' powdery floral smell so goes well with quite a lot of things. I like Body Shop body butters but they are quite expensive so it's something I'd probably pick up in a sale or at a discount rather than paying full price. Now on to finishing up my Veet hair minimising moisturiser - I shaved my legs last night so it'll be interesting to see if it does actually work!

  • Also, can I pick you guys' brains for an idea I have?

I know there are a lot of fellow nail polish junkies on here, and I know that a fair few of us like our nail art, but as we're aware that can get expensive! So for a few months I've been toying with the idea of a 'paint your own' nail salon, that would have polishes from all different ranges and would let people do their own nail art, compare similar colours etc without having to fork out for them. Think the nail equivalent of a paint your own pottery place, if that makes sense, where you pay for using the products provided and can then buy stuff on top if you like it. I've got other ideas for it as well in terms of things it could do (linking up with social networking sites, expanding into other kinds of make-up etc) but I wanted to put the feelers out to start with and see if it sounds like something that could work.

I've asked a few friends and they've said it sounds like a great idea to them, but I wanted to see what you lot thought as a) we are a bit of a beauty-obsessed thread and b) I don't 'know' you guys so I'm hoping I'll get honest answers - I don't mean that in a horrible way but there's always that thing with asking your friends of whether they're just saying they like an idea because they're your friends!

    Many thanks :)

Absolutely love the idea! I think it could really catch on, as it gives you the oppurtunity to try out new shades etc. without the cost involved and then if it suits you, you can buy it. I think there's a lot of potential to expand it as well :)
