Back in this month I think - new year, new start and all that.....

Hello Lovely - I was beginning to wonder where you were :D
I did use my birthday gift although my birthday isn't until March, I may have told a slight white lie in order to be able to use it in the sales:money:

:whistle: Now who would do a thing like that ;) :rotfl:
Favourite products of 2011: The unknown day and night cream I was sent to trial,

Were they the ones from Clix? Both in glass pots - one with a gold lid and one with a silver IIRC? I've got a practically unused pot of one (gold lid I think) that you can have - it's too thick for me and I'll never use it. PM me if you want it :D

I'm using the other pot at the moment - don't like it but have been refusing to buy more until it is gone :p

    Lovely post BTW

Welcome to all the returners and Newbies - lovely to have you aboard :hello:

I have a UU: Avon Macadamia Hair Balm: WIBA? Meh? Probably not. Was supposed to be a leave-in conditioner type product but no matter how little I used it just made my hair 'crunchy'. Gave up and used the last 1/2 of the pot as an intensive conditioner - massaged a large handful in, stuck a showercap and on and had a nice long soak. Worked lovely that way and would use it like that again if it was 99p :p

Still feeling really terrible - not a great start to the year and boy! I wish it would stop raining!! :( (so does BD who just will not go outside until she is fit to burst when it rains :rotfl:)

I almost forgot an IN off my 'lovely' OH: Four Herbal Bath Bags - in a box from Past Times that said ' A Cure for Grumpiness' :( :rotfl: :rotfl: Hmmmm .........

Have a great day all - stay dry
  • Hi lovely ladies may I join you? I haven't got a huge stash of products at the moment as I have secretley been lurking on here for a long time and it has really helped me think about what I'm buying however this year I am comitted to clearing the clutter from the cupboards so thought it would be a good idea to join some challenges.

:rotfl:that is so me, I have a handbag fetish but slowly trying to stop buying. In fact I buy them and then don't use them incase they get spoilt, I know PRCP.

Back on tooic, I have a UU, Boots extracts soap, part of a gift set so not sure if I could buy on its own but really like it, not drying like normal soap.

:) and hello to all newbies

I'm bad, I just bought one of the Lush Gingerbread gifts off ebay because I really wanted the tin! It's a money box and it's so cute. But that one moment of weakness is IT for the year :)

Oh good God!! I need nothing - absolutely nothing!! I have what I think is a year's worth of toiletries in my bathroom, and 3 plastic tubs of the rest stacked in the cupboard - and then I go and read this:...
im on the elemis cleansing gel now. only had it open for a few days but so far so good :)

the sets were really good this year! the ones i got were from debenhams and had full size day cream, full size cleanser, full size body lotion, travel size shower gel and travel size body scrub. got one of them when they were reduced to £33 and my mum used a voucher for an extra 10% off so one was £30. my mum got two of the ones with the pro collagen cream in and both times we got the free gift with 5 miniatures so I've got 2 travel body oils, 2 travel papaya masks and a mini bubble bath extra:j

Next thing you know, I'm on the Debenham's website to see if I can see what these magical Elemis sets are like/contain. I know I have a £5 debenhams voucher hiding somewhere and so I might as well put it to good use... right... (insert face palm here...!):rotfl:

And then someone posts about an Elemis TSV this weekend... it's like a conspiracy... ;)

So... someone either talk me out of the temptation, or if it is in fact such an amanzing deal that I'd be stupid not to buy it, equally, please tell me. I dare not google any more Elemis prices/sets/comparisons because I'll talk myself into it at full price....!!!!

Hope everyone is well and coping with the back to work blues xxx

my day cream is on the elemis online store priced at £35.80 for one individual tube so if you would actually use it, you've already saved on the full price cream and the rest is just extra.

Hi all, I'm in again! I'm one of the original members from 2 years ago. My stash is under much better control now and is full of much nicer items than it had when I first started this challenge.
I only got one lot of smellies this year for Christmas and it was the S&G hand set, two large bottles of something. I like S&G products but don't like the smell so they have gone into the drawer and will be gifted to a friend for her birthday in June.
I have had a couple of shower gel UU's in December. One was the blissful body wash from No7. WIBA?: Not at the moment, I have one in stash (at least) and still have TBS shower gels to use. Later, I shall reconsider. Another was a TBS shower gel. These are currently reduced to £2.50 in the sale but not even interested in them at this price. If I was able to get a mega glitch like I did at the beginning of the year, I would consider it.
DH has some ins in his drawer where I had a re-jig of the gifts we bought and what we actually gave to people but I think it's only a case of 1-2 body washes, a bath thing and a deodorant. I never used my £1 off vouchers from Nivea in the end, I've been poorly since mid December and just about surviving work, DS's birthday and Christmas. Feeling more human now so will get back to it.
I bought myself an epilator from DH for Christmas and used it on my legs the other night. So far so good. I need to steel my nerves before I try it out on my pits or bits though . I still have lots of razors and a fair amount of wax so will get DH to wax my pits for now and will shave my bits. Once that's all gone (ha!), maybe I'll be brave enough? I doubt it though :o.
Have awful terrible skin atm due to the lurgies I've had so need to really try hard to get it back up together. It's been too cold to moisturise my body recently as I keep falling asleep in the bath and waking up cold. I then get dressed and go to bed in a rush. I will make a concerted effort to UU the No7 P&P face stuff which has now been open for almost 2 years. I have some lovely little freebie bits to UU when they're gone and then a nice set of full size products. I know that I won't need to replace them until the end of this year at the very earliest.
Toes are terrible too so I will try to dig out some NV remover and some NV and do them this evening. Again, the cold doesn't help that does it?

Welcome all newbies, happy Birthday to those I've missed.
Rosemary, your last post sounded a bit more up-beat. Hope you're doing OK and DH was just having a blip? The jewellery making class sounds fun. I'd love to do that but need to get on and finish off some sewing and some knitting.
Those of you who were looking at starting knitting, do pop over to https://www.ravelry.com it is a wealth of all knowledge and has thousands of patterns on there.
Those of you after beads and things, cazmanianminx on the mortgage free wannabe board runs a bead selling site. You can get anything you need from her but last time I looked she was low stocked as she was waiting for an order to come in. Her prices are pretty good, certainly comparable with others on ebay and possibly cheaper via her site. If you pm her she can let you know her web address.

    See you later everyone :)
