Happy New Year everyone!!
Thanks to Pickle for the new thread:D
I'm in too please, especially after my Christmas presents from family and friends - I did quite well with UU's last year but I seem to have more stuff than ever now:eek:
ADVICE needed please - I've got a couple of shampoo's that are rubbish on my hair (VO5 green apple & Wella professional care for greasy hair) - do you think I'd be alright using these both up as hand wash? - I hate to waste them but can't think of any other ways to use them up:(
On a positive note, I've had a little look through my stash and I think my shower gel's are finally under control - since using up the clean on me I've decanted a Dove body wash into the pump bottle and have just one more dove body wash in the stash and then I'm on samples and minis (that I tend to save for holidays):T
............and the negative is that I've now more bath products than Mr B, Lush and SD combined:eek::eek: and the body butters seem to be multiplying at a fair rate too:eek::eek:
I've got a GA too - a BS mini gift box in lemon - I've had it since Feb 2011 and had been saving it for my holidays then forgot to take it . The recipient was very pleased with it so was chuffed with myself:D
Feeling brave at the minute so will try and make a list of my stash later today and do some sort of spreadsheet so I can see exactly what I have and need to use:o

WIBA yes its good value and not too heavy probably wouldn't be up to scratch if you did lots of styling on your hair tho.

Hello all
I'm in again! A fresh, new, no-buying toiletries 2012!
I'm redoing my stash list as we speak!
My first UU of the year: Dove silk body wash. WIBA? Yes, love Dove stuff, but don't need to repurchase for a while.
Have a good day all.0 -
Hello and Happy New Year, I am back in again for this year
I do believe I am cutting back on purchases but still can't resist looking at the grabbit board. Trying to save this year so will be resisting the BS sales!
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Thanks for the new thread pickle.
Happy new year lovely ladies! I signed up for this challenge in January last year and need at least another 12 months to make a dent in my stash!!
2012 is going to be my year of not spending on anything non-essential since I have a flat stuffed full of toiletries, clothes, books and a ridiculous number of handbags. So hopefully if I manage to not buy anything the stash will come down much quicker ... oh, wait a minute, that was the point of this challenge the whole time :rotfl:
So my toiletries resolution for 2012 is to actually do this challenge properly. Not buy any non-essentials and actually try to UU my eye creams, body butters and face masks by using them instead of just looking at the bottles :A
Good luck everyone! No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -

Bunnykins, here are some alternative uses for shampoo's: excellent as makeup brush cleaner and shaving cream.
I have also recently started to wash my hair the first time with a shampoo that I don't like and then follow up with the shampoo I like and I haven't noticed a difference with my hair. But then I have to treat my scalp first due to psoriasis so I have to schampoo my hair 3 times. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
Hi everyone! I'm back for another year! I didn't get that many toiletries for Christmas and not that much in the Lush Sale either! Oh well! I will do my stash list at some point soon but I have a UU to report:

Was a present from a friend and it was ok, not much scent in the bath though!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170
