the deborah lippman colours are gorgeous but both of them chip really easily even with numerous coats of polish, base and top coat. they are also a complete nightmare to get off because of the glitter, they are worse than every other glitter polish i own! the bad romance one has much bigger glitter bits in than others too. i have to douse a cotton pad in remover and sit there with it soaking through each nail for at least 5 mins to try and get them off.

Thanks for your reply evilsquid. I can't remember from your list if you use Elemis cleanser/toner but last year I bought a set of these from Selfridges and got a small tube of day cream with it. Might be worth looking out for to get more of the moisturiser.

Will bear in mind what you have said about the Origins one and use it sparingly. Have started using the tube of Modern Friction which is quite nice to use.

I've read other reviews of the Lipmann polishes that said it chipped really easily. I find the best way to get heavy glitter lacquer off is to wrap your finger/toe in nail lacquer remover soaked cotton wool and then wrap that up in tin foil, leave and when you remove it all the lacquer comes off cleanly. I still have one foot that has its toes covered in OPI Rainbow Connection because I got bored of removing it all! Well, they're gonna be inside boots for a while aren't they?

Not sure I should post this but apparently there is a choice of 6 Leighton Denny lacquers being given away with Jan edition of Harper Bazaar. Thankfully, I don't like 5 of the colours. The one that I do like is very similar to OPI Espresso Your Style that I own so I shouldn't want any should I?

im on the elemis cleansing gel now. only had it open for a few days but so far so good

the sets were really good this year! the ones i got were from debenhams and had full size day cream, full size cleanser, full size body lotion, travel size shower gel and travel size body scrub. got one of them when they were reduced to £33 and my mum used a voucher for an extra 10% off so one was £30. my mum got two of the ones with the pro collagen cream in and both times we got the free gift with 5 miniatures so I've got 2 travel body oils, 2 travel papaya masks and a mini bubble bath extra:j my dad thought we were mental when we came home with the second lot :rotfl:

my mum bought harpers bazaar the other day just to get the nail polish! i used to do it but I've stopped it now. i have subscriptions to the mags i really love now and only ELLE sends subscribers the free gifts.

Im thinking of binning my cosmo subscription though. I've been subscribed for a year and now I'm paying money just for the mag itself I'm starting to read it and questioning after if the mag itself was really worth the cash I've paid. I'm only paying £1 an issue and every time i find myself putting it down thinking "what have i actually gained from this?". its like the free gifts clouded what you thought and cz you got a "deal" with saving money on the gift the mag was a nice bonus that didn't matter much!

I am in again. I have got better but still need some work! The only thing I have got under control is deodorant but I guess thats a start in the right direction.
