Does or has anyone used the S&G moisturiser with 'bronzing beads'? I have one called Touch and Glow for that bundle last January and I think it's been rebranded as Glow Job... I am using it now but find that these bronzing beads do not 'burst upon contact with the skin' and blend in beautifully but leave me with dark streaks randomly on my face (mostly around hairline and eyebrows!!). Not sure I like it very much as is quite fiddly but am determined to use it up!! Gonna have to suffer through it... it's a nearly full tube as well!

UU: some more hotel shampoo and shower gel and my Imperial Leather Rice milk and passion flower bubble bath that was Spluttering last week. Also said goodbye to a mascara but that's ok as have two others to use!

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday!
Goals for 2012: finish course; get job; new pet; ring; house; car; holiday; learn to knit; size 10; finish '50 books to read before July 18': 17/50 ; savings account: £2450.68/£6000; improve my French and German.... how many can I achieve?! :D

I'm a bit of a lurker on this thread but am trying to follow your principles at home. I must say I didn't realise how satisfied I'd feel when actually finishing an product!

I was going to write a list of toiletries but then when I realised how much stuff I have (whole drawer under bed and 6 shoe boxes full as well as the bathroom cabinet) I decided to give it a miss!

Have got some INs this month as had some l'oreal coupons and found an offer making the products free, so guessed that would be okay!

Well done everyone and thanks for the inspiration!

Ooh, I've got that! I had to stop using it as it interferes with a beauty treatment I am having, but I know exactly what you mean about the bronzing beads: I break them with my fingers and mix them in the moisturiser to give it an even colour before I apply it. It's the first time I've ever tried a tinted moisturiser, and I'm not too impressed. I get the impression that other ones are generally better...tell me it is so, ladies! (And any recommendations? I hear Bobby Brown's is good. ;) )

Hey everyone, I've been good and resisted watching qvc. Still no "ins" in 2012. Woohoo.

Unfortunately, I have a UU to report, only I didn't use it up... My liz Earle spot on fell on the bathroom floor and smashed. It's my HG. I let out a long scream. Gutted. Will need to buy another to replace it, don't have any other spot treatments.

On the up-side, the bathroom smells of tea tree and lavender...

i did this with the Neals Yard skin clearing gel at MIL house. those little glass bottles are so fragile! i managed to save about 3/4 of it and decant it into a bobbi brown empty pot that id just used the the last of the cleanser out of lol.

i had that! it was really really dark when i put it on. made me look like id just put fake tan on my face and nowhere else. i found a use for it when i was talked into buying a shade too dark of laura mercier tinted moisturiser cz the SA swore i was the one up and i wasn't that pale. last time i ever buy anything that isn't the palest thing in a range! anyway, did a good job of making my neck match my face :rotfl:

i like the laura mercer one but it is expensive. try and get a sample of it off the SA before you buy it thou. I've had a sample of the liz earle one and it seemed really thick and a bit goopy to me, like theyd just got dry/sensitive skin repair and dumped some mineral foundation in it.

Another UU ladies: a Karen Millen highlighting stick. (I'm not sure what it was called exactly, but it was a goldy/beige colour with sparkles in it and it was meant to highlight any body areas you wanted. I just used it as a natural-looking eyeshadow, and now it it gone, I have to learn how to do decent eyeshadow! (Any recommendations for easy-to-apply cream eyeshadows, ladies, as I'm rubbish at applying eye make-up?)

WIBA? Not an option...it was an end-of-range that I bought at an outlet.

One more UU (possibly the last of the month) : tube of Lacura foot cream from Aldi. WNBA I have come to the conclusion that I need to stop messing around with other foot creams and return to using Flexitol as it's the only one that has ever worked for me. Why did I stop using it? Silly reason (and no doubt some knowledgeable person like evilsquid will put me right) - it contained the ingredient urea which i thought was urine so I stopped using it. I then tried to justify not buying it by telling myself it was expensive at £5.00 a tube so why have I ended up with L'occitane foot creams in my stash?? Once all my foot creams are gone I am going to use Flexitol. It could be a while though as I have half a tube of L'occitane foot cream and L'Occitane lavender foot cream (bought in error cos I thought it was hand cream) and half a tube of Avon Footworks foot cream. All been opened because I've been trying to find something to equal Flexito! DOH!
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

1 UU, 30ml Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion. WBA, don't use it every day at the moment, but always keep some in stock, it is the one product I can use even when I get a severe allergic break out on my face. Came with a magazine I think, have a couple of weeny sized gwp ones in stock.

I was just idly checking out Molton Brown handwash on *bay (not buying honestly), totally gobsmacked to see that 6 people have been bidding, £7.50 + £1.50 p&p with 3 hours to go on an empty handwash pump, I think I would pay the 15 quid or so and have a full one.

The foot cream i swear by is by CCS and they do a foot care cream and a heel balm both contain Urea and are the only things that have ever heeled my cracking feet ... they used to bleed when they got that bad. Avaliable in b00ts probably about the same price as Flexito! Not had to buy it for a while as a little goes a long way HTH

    UU

Tesco body reactive spray deodrant WIBA? nope... not that brilliant but if i found it on the shelf with a yellow sticker for 12p a can again i might be tempted :rotfl:1 more left in the stash from last years bargin buying.

Freebie of garnia's blemish balm so far applied it for the last 2 days (still got a couple days worth in the sachet) really seems to balance out the tone of my skin without being heavy or greasy and it has SPF15 when i finally get thru some of my stash of foundation i barely ever wear maybe i will actually buy this. Im another one who is in the "streaky face" club from S&G tinted moisturiser, I also did the break the beads in my fingers, mix it all up and then use it thing, threw it away in the end ( i think) cos i got really fed up with it!!

No UU for me lately, though the current shell shaped soap is almost gone.
