    scottishminnie could you not put a thinner cleanser you like into a foaming pump bottle?
    Living cheap in central London :rotfl:
  • UU's DKNY delicious night body lotion and edt perfume sample, this is nice but I do prefer the original.

    I have resisted TBS discount! Yay!

    Good thinking batwoman! I hadn't thought of that. I hadn't really used a cleanser much before so I'm not sure what one to buy here. I only really bought it on holiday as I thought I would start of 2012 with better intentions. I think I'll use the Neutrogena ones and then I'll gather some views on what ones might work in a pump bottle like that.

  • oh darn!! now a member of qvc.... ment to just have a look at the bareminerals stuff- ended up ordering the 4 eyeliners and some other kit with eyeshadows. in my defense i love the eyeliners and am down to 1 bm eyeliner in my collection...

  • LOL - it's days like this when I feel grateful that QVC has no pull on me whatsoever! :rotfl: Well done for resisting those of you that did...and as for the rest of you *chucks some folded blankets and a flask of tea at the naughty step* - I think you're going to be there for some time!

    Have just updated my travel stash and was pleased to see that it has gone down a fair bit....I'll still easily have enough sachets of shampoo and conditioner for a fortnight's holiday later in the year though, and as for body lotions....! :rotfl:

    Hi everyone, I'm glad I'm on nights and managed to avoid QVC beauty day! Not that I ever actually buy anything from there but sometimes I have been tempted in the past!

    Couple of UU to report:

    Biore UV Perfect Face Milk - WBA as it's my HG facial sunscreen. Just got to go and actually order some from ebay now!

    Lush So White ballistic - WNBA, these seem to lose all scent as soon as they hit the water.
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000

    I have a few more UU's

    Snowcake soap and candy cane soap, took these both to work, much better than the soap at work.

    I wish that my workplace was smaller so that I could take my own handwash to work. The soap in our loo is awful and dries my hands out constantly so that I am nearly through the small bottle of OPI Avojuice I took in with me at the beginning of this month.

    Its the freebee with Glamour Mag next month (March 1 edition) 100ml sizes of FINISHING POLISH, MOISTURISING CONDITIONER,MOISTURISING SHAMPOO and TOTALLY TLC HYDRATING MASK (allegedly worth £43 together...)

    might have to spend £8 on magazines next month.... :eek:

    Oooh thanks for the heads up trudj. Might get me the mask as I don't have any treatments on the go at the moment and my hair is still feeling dry from the Nutrisse haircolur I used. Do you know when this mag is issued?
    also got my copy of the liz earle beauty mag. I've been trying to resist an order from there for ages but i think this may send me over the edge just a tad.

    I got a copy of this as well yesterday. I only really like her essentials and the nourishing body cream now. Am gonna wait to order and maybe only buy the items piecemeal as and when I need them. Don't have £41.00 at the mo (this month has been a tight one as I only got 2 weeks pay on 15th that has had to last me til 15 Feb). Emma will probably run out of C&P first (and I'm gonna order that when she does as she uses it sporadically even though I nag her to use it every day), then the toner (have been using Boots Botanical Rosewater but it's starting to dry my skin out) and the moisturiser last (have a few in my stash to get through first). It will be a long time before I order any more body lotion/butter!

    I was good in the end and did not order anything from QVC. TBH even though I like the Mettalic for Life colour I think I prefer Leighton Denny's Big Bang more.

    I also have an item which is ending on Ebay today. Someone has been watching it so I'm hoping they take the plunge and buy it! I've decided as well that the money that goes into my "Beauty Fund" pot will be used as and when I want to treat myself to something and I'm trying to aim to save most or all of the money towards that something first.
    Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Don't you wish we had this store in the UK (and Sephora and ULTA of course!). It's so cheap and cheerful. Am loving the White Citrus and Sweet Pea collections.

    I finally have another uu! GOK gorgeous boby butter - I love the scent of this and it does a really good job as a moisturiser. I have another one in the stash thankfully.

    time also to declare January's 'ins' :o:

    my only purchase in the Boots sale was a Sanctuary gift set reduced to £2.50 and paid for with Boots points, it had :
    body wash 75ml
    foamimg bath 75ml
    body scrub 50ml
    body lotion 75ml
    luxury bath float 75ml

    I'm off to sit on the naughty step and catch up with the rest .
    of the thread

    have a good day ladies, xx
  • Hey everyone, I've been good and resisted watching qvc. Still no "ins" in 2012. Woohoo.

    Unfortunately, I have a UU to report, only I didn't use it up... My liz Earle spot on fell on the bathroom floor and smashed. :eek: It's my HG. I let out a long scream. Gutted. Will need to buy another to replace it, don't have any other spot treatments.

    On the up-side, the bathroom smells of tea tree and lavender...
