Fantastic!! Just checked for the dates 2012 not 2013 when i want to go and they flights were £813 which i dont consider bad, am i going to be looking at that sort of price or should they be cheaper?

IMO they should be cheaper. Are you really 21, if so you should factor in the extra it will cost to hire a car being so young

What you are suggesting is possible but I would rather book the motels/hotels along the route. and I would definitely book the hotels in Vegas before arrival

Did Peggy Sue's this time last year, sat at the counter next to the local Sheriff picking up his lunch, cops don't eat in bad places, they might eat food that's bad for you but don't we all. Anyway everyone knows that it's not fattening when you're on holiday.

I had a double cheeseburger with bacon, fries and a chocolate malt......it was proper. Also a gift shop with all sorts of good tat, a few route 66 t-shirts, a hula hula girl for the dashboard. It was quality trash and a nice little garden to sit out in (lot of noise from the I15).

Sorry I've had my account a while haha Im 25 in June so by the looks there are no extra charges extra as i will be 26 by the time of this holiday!

We would book the vegas hotels in advance and just make our way towards vegas for that day etc

Hmm well i cant seem to find cheaper than 800 for anytime in july for 2012 :/

Grrr Stripburger $25 vouchers sold out already! I'm going 5th April so I guess I'll have to try to be quick and get one on the 1st April!

Rorylando, you need to get up early to get the Stripburger Certs.

I personally prefer the burgers at Burger Brasserie, but the location for people watching at Stripburer is hard to beat.

    Hi All,
Did a quick scan over the last few days, so hope its not a duplicate....

2-4-1 Monorail ticket offer & free delivery too :)
    https://tickets.lvmonorail.com/fansoffer022912

    Thanks :j

Ordered a pair yesterday as we'll be staying at The Signature @ MGM Grand, just in case we wanted to use it :).

Edit: Also forgot to say that I've booked 2 tickets to see The Jersey Boys at Paris in May. There's an offer currently on 'Best of Vegas' where you can get a free upgrade to the better seating near the front, so $99 a ticket instead of $178 :)

It'll be our last night in Vegas and thought it was worth a go as Cirque didn't seem to run on Tuesdays!

    HOTELS
Planning my first trip to Vegas in October and found this forum great.

It's a real minefield doing it all independently but a quote from virgin at 4.5k really put me off!

    So far my plan is

London to LA (2 nights magic castle)

LA to Vegas (5 nights vdara)

Hire car down to GC for 2 nights then 5 nights at a ranch in Arizona

    Phoenix to London

Total flight cost 625 direct with BA and internal with united. Booked with multicity option on expedia.

LA hotel 12% cashback with hotels.com, vdara 71 a night with last-minute secret hotels plus 10% off through work scheme. GC not discount and ranch 10% again.

It's no cheap holiday but currently just over 3k so way better than virgin.

Only thing I am not sure on is the vdara as I can't help thinking better deals will be on at better hotels nearer the time, other half wanted something booked though. Maybe a lesson for next time.

Keeping an eye out for show deals now but still too far away I think.

Anyone doing the LAX to LAS road trip must stop at Peggy Sues for lunch.

    I second this comment :D
