The best rooms are Go rooms.

The view ones are called GO luxury the non view or pool view are GO deluxe.

The same analagy applies to the FAB deluxe and luxury.

The best fountain views are in the corner facing south (looking over the top of Bills).

The ones that face the strip overlook Caesers Palace and AFAIK still have a great big advert across most of those windows which is horrible to look through

You could book a deluxe and hope for an upgrade, or book the luxury and the ask for the south facing room in the corner, on or around floor 18/20 is good

    Brilliant, thanks:j

It was a south facing corner room we had. Im pretty sure we were around the 18-20th floor as well.
I like the Flamingo, might even stay there for a few days this year.

slightly off-topic question - is there any legal obligation, etc. for a woman to get a new passport in her new name after marriage?
we got married at the end of last year, but she's yet to change driving licence, passport, etc.

so if i'm looking at booking a holiday now (LV), and her 'old' passport is still in date, are we best to book the holiday using these details and put off changing names on any paperwork until we're back?

Are you only looking at one particular hotel? A quick check of stuff like the Harrah's Hote Deals calendar shows pretty static rates for most properties through October, but higher than normal rates the first 2 weeks at Ballys and Paris...that sounds like a convention or event based at Ballys or Paris rather than a city-wide thing.

Not saying you're looking at these 2 specifically, but sometimes if you look at a particular hotel, rates can be out of whack if there is something specific going on there...where another hotel down the street may have perfectly reasonable rates going.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

yeah, I was thinking of the Mirage in particular. A quick scan of the MGM/Mirage hotel prices didn't make pleasant reading!

Has anyone used a Visiticket? Are they worth it? i see there are a lot of restrictions on them. I am interested in The Secret Garden, Stratosphere ride, Fremont skyline and also Eiffel tower and wondered whether these are all possible in one day or two as will save a lot of money

    thanks
