HOTELSAnything is possible its Vegas!! Secret Garden and Eiffel Tower near to each other Obvious Freemont is a little away (but I highly recommend it!) but if you have a couple of days you'd fit them in! My only concern is that you might feel rushed and one of the main things about Vegas is wandering round and discovering!0

VALUE FOR MONEYsecretmachines wrote: »slightly off-topic question - is there any legal obligation, etc. for a woman to get a new passport in her new name after marriage?
we got married at the end of last year, but she's yet to change driving licence, passport, etc.
so if i'm looking at booking a holiday now (LV), and her 'old' passport is still in date, are we best to book the holiday using these details and put off changing names on any paperwork until we're back?
Hiya, we got wed in begas couple of years ago and th eife still not updated her pasport as costs same as a renewal so just gonna update new name when comes to renewal in 2015, we been back to US and europe on her old pasport no probs since we were married so defo no need to get it changed, just remember to book flights etc in old name!!0 -

that's a very sensible idea - she's in the process of changing her name on her bank account, but now that we've booked the trip (last night, in her old name) I guess it's probably a good idea to keep all her other paperwork in her old name for the time being - especially driving licence in case anywhere wants another form of ID in the US...0 -
VALUE FOR MONEYWe're thinking of flying with virgin in October, but we're alarmed to see that the hand baggage weight limit is 6kg!!!! We're used to a lot more than that.
How strictly do they apply the weight limit for hand luggage? It will make a difference as to whether or not we book with them.0 -
Hi,
Im trying to make plans for a vegas trip in July 2012
Is it possible to get a flight to LA then rent a car (car3000 website you all talk of) then drive to vegas and just stop in motels? (like the films almost?) then book a hotel for the last few days in vegas and drop the car back in vegas and fly back via vegas?
I know this is very vague but just want to know if these places do really exist, i just want a open top car...no plan and to pull in to a motel and then move on the next day?
I understand if its not possible
ThanksHalifax loan - 6800 - 198 DD a month

I see no reason why this wouldn't be possible. Flying into LAX and out of Vegas is certainly possible. And hiring a car at LAX and dropping it off at Vegas is also possible. Sleeping in motels is possible, there's plenty of them. And booking a hotel in Vegas is also possible.
So, in summary, yes I think it's possible!0 -
Have you got any useful links to use for flights and is this car3000 the best people to get a car with?
It all seems a bit to simple tbh!!
Are the motels expensive? i know differ in price but standard just bed etc?Halifax loan - 6800 - 198 DD a month

Skyscanner is a good place to start to get an idea on prices for when you want to go0 -
Has anyone used a Visiticket? Are they worth it? i see there are a lot of restrictions on them. I am interested in The Secret Garden, Stratosphere ride, Fremont skyline and also Eiffel tower and wondered whether these are all possible in one day or two as will save a lot of money
thanks
Looking at their website the Visitickets are $80 for 1 day and $100 for 2 days.
If you purchased individual tickets for Stratosphere with one ride, NYNY coaster, Eiffel Tower, Fremont St Zipline and Secret Garden that would cost in the region of $90 (according to relevant websites).
However I'm sure there are various 2-1 deals to be had on some of these attractions so from a cost point of view probably not worth it.
The other point is trying to do it all in one day. Whilst it could be done I think it would be a bit too much.0 -
